The death guard is a one-handed necromancy siphon. It has tier 80 stats, and is obtained by upgrading the tier 70 variant after the completion of Kili's Knowledge VI or Kili's Knowledge VI (power).

It can be upgraded to the tier 90 variant at the soul forge.

Players need to have created the death guard at least once in order to wield it. This can be hastened by buying a lower tier death guard from another player and upgrading it.

Special attack

[edit | edit source]
The death guard's special attack, Death Grasp.

Death Grasp is the special attack of the tier 70 and higher death guards. It costs 25% adrenaline and has a cooldown of 30 seconds, shown in a debuff. It stuns and binds the target for 4.8 seconds, dealing 405%-495% Necromancy damage. It also deals an additional 40% Necromancy damage for each Necrosis stack, consuming all of them. At 12 Necrosis stacks, the special attack deals up to 885%–975% Necromancy damage.

In PvP, damage is only 40% effective.
