Elemental Workshop equipment are created in the Elemental Workshop during and after the Elemental Workshop quest series. Making and wearing it requires completion of Elemental Workshop IV - making the full set requires level 42 Smithing, and wearing it requires level 1 Defence. It is made by using elemental bars on an anvil in the Elemental workshop; six bars are required to make a full set of 5 parts.

All items are made by using a corresponding bar on a workbench in the first level of the Elemental Workshop, with a hammer in the inventory or in the tool belt.

Item progression

• Elemental Workshop I grants the ability to make shields, and to use elemental bars.
  • Can currently make: Elemental shields.
• Elemental Workshop II grants the ability to make helmets and use mind bars.
  • Can currently make: Elemental shields and helmets, Mind shields and helmets.
• Elemental Workshop III grants the ability to make bodies and use body bars.
  • Can currently make: Elemental shields, helmets and bodies, Mind shields, helmets and bodies, Body shields, helmets and bodies.
• Elemental Workshop IV grants the ability to make gloves and boots, and use cosmic and chaos bars.
  • Can currently make: Elemental shields, helmets, bodies, gloves and boots, Mind shields, helmets, bodies, gloves and boots, Body shields, helmets, bodies, gloves and boots, Cosmic shields, helmets, bodies, gloves and boots, and Chaos shields, helmets, bodies, gloves and boots.

Elemental

Elemental equipment is elemental equipment that has not been imbued with any particular power. Elemental bars are made by smelting elemental ore and 4 coal in the furnace in the Elemental Workshop. Requires 1 Defence to wear.

Mind

Mind equipment is elemental equipment that has been imbued with the power of mind. Primed mind bars are made by charging a primed bar with mind energy in the third level of the Elemental Workshop (behind the mind door), draining 20 Magic levels per bar. Requires 1 Defence to wear, and are equivalent to bronze armour.

There are currently 5 parts of mind equipment, with equipment statistics as follows.

Body

Body equipment is elemental equipment imbued with the power of body. Primed body bars are made by charging a primed bar with body energy in the third level of the Elemental Workshop (behind the body door), draining 33 Defence levels per bar. Requires 1 Defence to wear, although the quest requires 33 Defence to complete (with boosts allowed). This armour is equivalent to iron armour.

There are currently 5 parts of body equipment, with equipment statistics as follows:

Cosmic

Cosmic equipment is a members-only equipment set imbued with the power of cosmic. Primed cosmic bars are made by charging a primed bar with cosmic energy in the fourth level of the Elemental Workshop (behind the cosmic door), draining 39 Runecrafting levels per bar. Requires 40 Defence to wear, and is equivalent to black armour. Due to a recent update, cosmic equipment no longer has the same defensive attributes as chaos equipment - it is now just a weaker version, similar to non-elemental metals.

Chaos

Chaos equipment is elemental equipment imbued with the power of chaos. Chaos bars are made by charging a primed bar with chaos energy in the fourth level of the Elemental Workshop (behind the chaos door), draining 39 Thieving levels per bar. Requires 50 Defence to wear, and is equivalent to batwing equipment, but with a higher damage reduction.

There are currently 5 parts of chaos equipment, with equipment statistics as follows:

Trivia

• These sets are the only armour sets which currently don't have legwear armour part.
• There is currently many textual errors on the Make-X screen for the requirements of all equipment except those required during the quest series. The ones with correct requirements are: Elemental shield, Mind helmet, Body body, Cosmic gloves, and Chaos boots. For all other items the requirement is "Partial completion of Elemental Workshop X," where X is the higher of either the number of the quest which first allows that type of equipment to be made or first allows that type of bar to be made. However, the total quest completion is actually required for these items, and attempting to smith one will cause a text box to appear and state that the quest needs to be completed. For example, a Mind body and Body helmet both state the requirement "Partial completion of Elemental Workshop III"; however, it is not possible to make them until after the quest has been entirely completed.
