Grief is an inconspicuous scarab located outside the Temple of Isolation and fought during the quest Beneath Scabaras' Sands. It is the final scarab that players must interact with for Scabaras, and at first it takes the appearance of a corrupted scarab. Players will try to squash it, but it will run away. On the third time, the player successfully crushes it, but it transforms into a large attackable monster resembling a corrupted kalphite. Once the player has defeated it in battle, they can return to Scabaras and continue the quest.

Despite resembling various monsters counting for Slayer assignments, killing Grief doesn't count for any.
