A screening tray is a quest item given by Lead Archaeologist Kerner during the Beneath Scabaras' Sands quest. It is used to sift through scorched sand in search of ancient rubies and Kharidian gold. If the tray is lost or destroyed, another may be obtained by speaking to the lead archaeologist again.

During the quest, a total of 30 Kharidian gold and 2 ancient rubies are needed to restore the damaged golden scarab artefact.
