Greater ensouled thread is a crafting material used to make tier 80 and tier 90 deathwarden and deathdealer robe armour. It is created by using algarum thread in the greater ensoul material ritual, which requires level 80 Necromancy.

15 spools of greater ensouled thread are required to upgrade each full set of either deathwarden or deathdealer robes from tier 70 to tier 90 for a total of 30 for both sets.

It is highly recommended to wait until level 90 or 103 Necromancy to start creating greater ensouled thread. At level 90 Necromancy, the full ritual site can be used. Necromancy boosts such as necromancy potions, overloads, or super Zamorak brews can be used to boost to draw Multiply III glyphs. Using all six Multiply III glyphs available with the full ritual site and an alteration necklace, a piece of algarum thread can be made into 5 pieces of greater ensouled thread. With the Necromancy cape perk at level 103 adding an additional Multiply III glyph, this can be increased to 6 pieces of greater ensouled thread per algarum thread. It will take 5 algarum threads to get 30 greater ensouled threads if all boosts are used at level 103 Necromancy or above.
