The fake man is an item used in the Eadgar's Ruse. Players need to give this item to Burntmeat, the troll cook in the Troll Stronghold, in order to find the location of the rare goutweed herb. It is really made of grain, raw chicken, dirty robes, and a drunk parrot.
This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included - see here for how to help out!
- It is possible to keep a Fake man after Eadgar's Ruse by dropping it and asking for another; it is also possible to bank it. It can also be re-obtained at May's Quest Caravan after putting 150 quest points into the Hub Track. It serves no purpose after the quest.
- When shown to the Wise Old Man, he will say "Argh! Is that a man in your backpack? Wait...no! it's a fake man, you crafty so-and-so. Still, you don't need it."
