The RuneFest app is a progressive web application released for consumers to help navigate RuneFest 2018. It is built off of Guidebook, Inc.'s event application infastructure; as such, to access the RuneFest specific information, one must navigate to the "Find Guides" section of the landing screen, located at the bottom right of the navigation bar.

General Info

This screen shows the event location and description.

Buy tickets

This screen redirects to the Eventbrite website, allowing the purchase of tickets. It should be noted that ticket sales for RuneFest 2018 have ended.

Notifications

This screen gives notifications regarding the currently downloaded guide.

OSRS Mobile

This screen redirects to the app store page for Old School RuneScape Mobile.

Merchandise store

This screen is a web portal for RuneScape's official merchandise store, located natively at Backstreet Merch. All prices are displayed in GBP (£), regardless of app sign in location.

Golden Gnome Cosplay Voting

This screen allows for voting of the Golden Gnomes.

Schedule

This screen provides an in depth schedule for RuneFest 2018. Times are shown in British Summer Time. A copy of the RuneFest schedule is located here.

My schedule

This screen allows for the creation of custom events. It is integrated with the schedule screen, seen above.

Sigmund the Merchant Trail Progress

This screen tracked the progress of the Sigmund the Merchant trial.

QR Code Scanner

This screen allows access to a QR code reader to progress the trial.

Floorplan

This screen shows a map of the entire floorplan.

Twitch

This screen redirects to the Jagex Twitch page, located at twitch.tv/Jagex, where the event is live streamed.

Cosplay Parade Sign Up

This screen was a portal to SurveyMonkey, which allowed participants to register for the cosplay parade. Registration has since closed.

Twitter

When signed into Twitter, this screen shows all tweets with the #RuneFest2018 hashtag. It is also possible to post a tweet directly from the app. Doing so automatically appends the hashtag to the end of the tweet.

Facebook

This screen redirects to the RuneFest official Facebook page.

Spotify

This page redirects to the RuneScape - The Orchestral Collection Spotify page, to allow for the playing of music through the service.

Important Info

This screen showed information regarding travelling to RuneFest.

Location

This tab redirected to a Google Maps page showing the coordinates of the venue, the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, located at 51°16'41.8'N 0°45'24.1°W.

South Western Railway Updates

Around the time that RuneFest was planned, the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers held a strike from 00:00 Hours Friday, 5 October to 23:59 Hours Saturday, 6 October.^[1] As such, this tab's purpose was to link to the relevant South Western Railway page as the information affected people travelling to the Farnborough Internation Exhibition and Conference Centre.
