The ball is a quest item that the player must recover from Nora T. Hagg's garden as part of the Witch's House quest. The quest centres around a boy who accidentally kicked this ball into the witch's garden. The player must fight the experiments to retrieve the ball for the boy. To get to the shed in which it resides a player must get in the garden and sneak past the witch.

Note that if players try to use Telekinetic Grab on the ball, the sentence "I can't reach that!" will appear in the text box, therefore players must fight the experiments to retrieve it.

Once the ball is returned to Harvey, the quest is completed.

After the quest is completed, the ball can still be seen in the shed once it has respawned but can not be retrieved. If you try to take the ball once you already have one it says "You already have the boys ball..." The drop trick does not work.
