Imping Around is an achievement that requires the player to catch one of each type of impling for Daffyd after speaking to him.
Although a seventeenth type of impling was introduced with Necromancy (the ghost impling), catching it is not required to complete this achievement.
Requirements

Strategy
[edit | edit source]An easy way to achieve this is by visiting the following locations and world-hopping, in order to discover multiple types of implings at that location:
- Gorajo resource dungeon in Prifddinas
- The Dungeoneering skillcape teleport can be used to quickly enter this location ("Gorajo hoardstalker dungeon")
- Impling spawns are very frequent, and up to 3 unique types of implings can be found on a single world.
- High-level implings are more frequent at this location. However, dragon and kingly implings do not spawn at this location.
- Puro Puro
- All types of implings spawn at this location, including dragon and kingly implings.
- Al Kharid resource dungeon
- The Dungeoneering skillcape teleport can be used to quickly enter this location ("Al Kharid hidden mine")
- Impling spawns are very frequent, and up to 5 unique types of implings can be found on a single world.
- Higher-level implings are uncommon at this location. Dragon and kingly impling spawns are very rare.
- Menaphos
- Fishing, mining, pickpocketing, and woodcutting in Menaphos have a chance to spawn implings. This requires tier 4 Menaphos reputation.
- The Impling collector, east of the statue by the lodestone, enables toggling of implings that are spawned, helpful to remove ones already caught.
Implings received from opening the Motherlode Maw or by exchanging 10 crystal motherlode shards with Wythien count towards the achievement. All types of impling, even crystal and kingly implings, may be obtained this way.
Implings caught before gaining access to Prifddinas do not count towards the achievement.
