Tortured soul essence is an item obtained by defeating Queen Black Dragon with necromancy during Kili's Knowledge VI (power) task. Five essence are required to be able to create tier 80 deathdealer robe armour, along with five zaryte fragments.

Some people have reported being unable to receive this item whilst using Saradomin brews during the fight with Queen Black Dragon, or by killing the Queen Black Dragon via Death Mark .
