Staircases are scenery located in the Wise Old Man's Player Owned House during the quest Love Story. They are used to enter the dungeon below, where Zenevivia has placed traps. The staircases to and from the upstairs cannot be used, but they are the functional equivalent of the stairs that the player can build in their own house in the skill hall.
Despite the Remove-room option on these objects and the Remove option on these and most objects in the house, attempting to remove anything in the Wise Old Man's house results in the message: This is most definitely not your house.

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The stairs down from the 1st floor[UK]2nd floor[US] are the same as the stairs to the dungeon, referencing the dungeon in their examine texts. However, the upstairs of the house is inaccessible so this is not an inconsistency that the player can observe.
