Sigurd, the only known player of Smack The Tree

Smack The Tree is a game played at parties by Barbarians in Gunnarsgrunn. In the game, people take turns smacking a tree, and the first one to uproot it wins. Sigurd won the game with a flying tackle, but the tree fell into the water, with Sigurd holding on to it. When he woke up a few hours later, he was several miles down the river. This resulted in the invention of the log canoe.[1]

It's a game where you take it in turnsh shmacking a tree. First one to uproot the tree winsh! Anyway, I won the game with a flying tackle. The tree came loose and down the river bank I went, still holding the tree. I woke up a few hours later and found myself several miles down river. And thatsh how I invented the log canoe! ... I refined the design from the original you know! I cut all the branches off to make it more comfortable"
