It is with this notice that I'd like to offer my nomination to Quarenon. Quarenon is a great contributor to our wiki and would make great use of the additional tools given with the sysop abilities. They are well aware of how our wiki works and will be able to help moderate it effectively and effectively as well as make the appropriate decisions with respects to our policies and procedures.

If I do get community consensus, I promise not to abuse my powers because I realize that this is a serious offence and if the community finds that I have done so, my powers will be revoked and in extreme cases I could be given a community ban. Questions for the nominee

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?

I would certainly use administrative tools first to combat vandalism. I've reverted countless edits to pages, and have observed RS:AGF as best I can to notify users about unhelpful edits. In more severe cases, I have reported edits as necessary so that an admin can take action. I have tried to make it easier for others to do anti-vandal work through scripts ([[User:Quarenon/TemplatesGuide|here]], here, and others here). If I were an admin myself, I can more quickly deal with the severe cases.

2. What are your best contributions to the RuneScape Wiki, and why?

I think all of my contributions have been equally important to improving the wiki. I've helped with keeping the main page up-to-date during updates ([1] and [2]). When new content is released I try to create and update relevant pages, such as various Fur 'n' Seek quest items (here and here). I've done some work on images which needed cropping and transparency. I've done many edits on articles to keep them consistent with the style guide. That's all in addition to programming various scripts and bots and helping people when they have issues or questions about those.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

I haven't gotten into any conflicts so far, but if I do find myself getting into one, then I feel the best way to handle it is to stop and think before acting. If necessary, that might mean taking a break from editing. The important thing is to stay objective about situations as much as possible.

Support - Looking through your contributions, I see a lot of reverts and reports to the CVU, and involvement in community discussions. You assume good faith, and I trust your judgement. Support - Scripts are very helpful, AGF a lot, frequently discusses in the YG, and my personal favorite, "... stop and think before acting. If necessary, that might mean taking a break from editing.... Oppose - I realise that I'm not going to be very popular saying this, He has made some outstanding scripts, which the normal wikian can only dream about, but I feel that he hasn't been on this wiki long enough to receive administrator rights. Support - Per all. Looking through his contributions, I saw many undos/reverts, and he seems calm when participating in discussions. I would have no problem with Quarenon beoming an administrator. Ti en 20:24, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Support - I see him constantly reverting vandalism and welcoming new users. In the recent changes, every time a new user is created I see a talk page with a welcome notice from Quarenon.
