Cold Spell is an achievement that requires the player to defeat Nex solo without being hit by her 'Contain' and 'Ice Prison' attacks during her Ice phase.

Strategy

Initiate the ice phase by phasing Nex after she attempts to use Blood Sacrifice on the player. This will cause her to use Contain as her first special attack rather than Ice Prison, the latter of which will cause an immediate fail if it occurs. Try to maintain some distance from Nex so the icicles from her Contain attack do not reach as this will also fail the achievement, and keep Protect/Deflect Magic on during this attack to avoid getting frozen.

Nex will sometimes melee the player during this phase, so the player should take advantage of this by kiting her. Nex will eventually stop once she realises she is unable to use melee, returning to magic attacks. Players with Necromancy or Ranged can use Split Soul or the eldritch crossbow variant to deal additional damage, which is especially helpful to kill Glacies due to her 1,000 damage soft cap and 2,000 damage hard cap.
