Fletch Quest is an achievement that requires the player to make and upgrade three types of ranged weaponry to Mk. 5 using eternal magic logs, bowstring, primal bars, and crossbow strings. Each of the following items must be made once to complete the achievement.

Completing the achievement unlocks the ability to fletch masterwork bows with level 110 Fletching. The order in which these items are made does not affect completing the achievement.

The player will be given credit for making the first eternal magic stock, primal limbs, and primal crossbow (unstrung); however, two of each will be required in total to get the credit for both types of crossbow if the player doesn't buy some finished bows from other players.

Options for fletching the crossbows

As unstrung primal crossbows can be strung into both primal crossbows and off-hand primal crossbows, players have two options for fletching the crossbows required for this achievement:

1. Make two eternal magic stocks and two sets of primal limbs and combine them to make two primal crossbows (unstrung): one for the primal crossbow and one for the off-hand primal crossbow.
2. Make only one primal crossbow (unstrung) as in previous option and obtain resources for the other though trading or buying on the Grand Exchange. Either of the following options work:
   • One primal crossbow (unstrung)
   • One eternal magic stock and one set of primal limbs and join them for the other primal crossbow (unstrung).

The primal crossbows (unstrung) can then be strung with crossbow strings to create a primal crossbow from one of them and an off-hand primal crossbow from the other.

• patch 13 January 2025 (Update):
  • When the Tier 2 Ranger's Workroom, crystal knife or wegali incense sticks magically string when Fletching, the side-effects of stringing the bow or crossbow now occur correctly. This resolves an issue where if the auto-stringing effect occurred when fletching primal crossbows, the Fletch Quest achievement's objectives to string a primal crossbow did not complete.
