Mod John A announcing the quest's planned name.

Tome Raider was a planned quest that would have introduced the character Sir Ewain, later renamed to Sir Owen. It was first mentioned in the Developer Blog Who are the Signature Heroes? The title Tome Raider and the quest storyline of the player breaking Sir Owen out of prison were announced on 23 July 2010 by Mod John A as part of the Live Developer Q&A. However Mod Mark confirmed that Tome Raider had been cancelled in a post on the RuneScape Forums in December 2010, due to Jagex having plans for a different quest involved Sir Owen as well as feeling that the quest's planned gameplay was too similar to the Void Knight quest series that was released in that year.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The name of the quest is a reference to the Tomb Raider franchise.
