Lantadyme potion (unfinished) are used to create antifire and super magic potions. Because antifires are often used to train Herblore, and adding clean lantadyme to a vial of water gives little experience, many players avoid the tedium of making unfinished potions and buy them directly from the Grand Exchange.

Using portable wells gives a 5% chance of making an extra potion and the scroll of cleansing gives a permanent 10% chance of not using up an ingredient when making potions. The bonuses of these two items increase the number of unfinished potions you can make, and the portable well also makes the process less click-intensive. With a portable well placed next to a bank chest, click on the bank chest and deposit your inventory and withdraw 14 herbs and 14 vials of water by using a bank preset, and repeat.

There is usually a portable well placed and maintained by someone else next to the bank chest in the Lumbridge Market in world 84. However, if there isn't one and no-one else provides one within a reasonable amount of time, you may have to use your own wells. Assuming the portable wells are bought at Grand Exchange prices, this will cost 172,668 coins per hour. 2,310 Lantadyme potions can be made on an average raising the money per hour to 4,228,180.
