Good Afternoon Scapers'
Monday’s update introduced some unexpected issues that our team is actively working to resolve, and we wanted to keep everyone in the loop.
Invisible Players Issue
We’re currently investigating an issue where some players are unable to see others, which can cause confusion and make group activities difficult to coordinate. Our engine team is working on a coldfix to resolve this as quickly as possible.
Applying the fix will require a period of downtime once it’s ready. As this is an ongoing situation, we’ll update this newspost with timings as soon as we have them.
In the meantime, adjusting your Texture settings in the graphics menu has temporarily resolved the issue for some players, but we’re continuing to work toward a full fix.
Other Known Issues
- Player gets stuck when using the Taverley Agility Shortcut → Will be resolved with Monday's update.
- Players can obtain letters to Santa from daily challenges before Christmas event has started → These letters will be removed on login when the event goes live.
- The Restless Ghost rock is missing → Will return with Monday's update
- Inconsistent Guthixian Runes are displayed when operating the World Gate during some quests → Currently being reviewed.
- Draynor Manor Fog is very heavy→ Currently being reviewed.
Thieving Hotfixes
The following hotfixes have already been applied.
- Resolved an issue with Hazelmere's signet ring not correctly doubling loot received via Heists
- Fixed an issue where the Ring of Vitur when received noted was not correctly triggering the collection log popup
- Increased Heist experience - Kharid-et 300 XP -> 400 XP per 'loot' , Dragonkin 400 -> 450 XP per 'loot'
- The "Sticky Fingers" Archaeology relic now reduces pickpocketing XP by 33%
- Elves in Prifddinas currently are affected by this XP modifier despite the relic not working on them and this will be changed so that they are not affected by the XP modifier.
- Fixed an issue with Pure Essence dropping to the floor instead of being noted when pickpocketing Wizards in the Wizard's Tower with the 120 Thieving Cape equipped.
- Fixed an issue where wizard tower archmages were dropping pure essence less often than intended (increased by 200%) due to previous hotfix.
- Fixed an issue with Menaphos guards that made clues drop slightly less often than intended after the previous set of fixes.
Current tables
We are currently monitoring and adjusting Pickpocketing drop tables, as they initially landed a little higher than we intended for a largely AFKable method.
On Tuesday, we made several changes to reduce their impact, and on Wednesday morning we followed up with additional tweaks to improve Fairy pickpocketing, as the original adjustment swung too far in the other direction.
While we continue to review and fine-tune these tables, we wanted to share the current versions for transparency.
Please note that item quantities are not listed, as each drop has a variable range. For example, an Archaeologist Trainee can drop 2–3 Chronotes, while a regular Archaeologist drops 2–4, although they share the same drop chances, the regular Archaeologist yields more on average over time.
Players typically perform around ~2,000 pickpockets per hour, or ~3,000 with the Stick Fingers relic, though this will vary based on level and active buffs.
