He is one of the witnesses in Sawmill Man v. The People, where more of his background is told to the player. When Bill bought new land to create the Lumber Yard, Will was taken in by Bill. He describes himself as a troublemaker in his youth, but working with Bill made him into an honest, hard-working man. The two developed the Supersteady Plankmaking machine which allowed Bill to make massive profits. Eventually, Will decided to create a sawmill of his own and asked Bill's Estate agent to help find land; the Estate agent told Bill, who was enraged and kept outbidding Will. Will then took the case to court, claiming that Bill was preventing him from creating his own company; Bill claims Will's numerous years working under him would undermine his business as he knew essentially everything.
Regardless of whether Bill is prosecuted or defended, Will continues working at the lumber yard.
