Overview[edit | edit source]

Vindicta chathead.png

Vindicta is Zaros's general and located in the south-western area of The Heart. Vindicta has 200,000 life points.

Gorvek chathead.png

The fight consists of 2 phases, with the second phase starting when Vindicta reaches 100,000 life points. Vindicta mounts Gorvek in the second phase. Compared to the other generals in The Heart, Vindicta has relatively few special attacks, but compensates with hard hitting auto-attacks.

Vindicta can be fought efficiently with any combat style.

Attacks[edit | edit source]

Vindicta's regular auto-attacks deal melee damage. During one of her auto-attacks every other player in the arena is dealt a ranged hit which has a 100% hit chance.

Gorvek fires the first fire wall around 23 seconds into the fight. A line of purple fire appears in the arena. Stepping in it results in taking rapid magic damage, up to 1000 every tick. In phase 2 this attack is used immediately after the fly away attack, in a straight line towards the players from whichever corner of the arena that Gorvek has landed in. When using Sunshine.png: RS3 Inventory image of SunshineSunshine and Death's Swiftness.png: RS3 Inventory image of Death's SwiftnessDeath's Swiftness players can still benefit from their effects when fire wall flames cover the abilities’ area by standing near the outer edges of the visuals.

Vindicta will continue to use melee auto-attacks while mounted on Gorvek.

Suggested action:

Vindicta Phase 2 Ranged Attack.gif
Phase 1 Phase 2

The target is hit with a ranged auto-attack that deals damage in a 3x3 area. Its damage increases each rotation. Like the ranged projectile in phase 1, this attack has 100% hit chance.

Suggested action:

Hard mode[edit | edit source]

As with all GWD2 generals in challenge mode Vindicta's health is increased to 300,000 and her strength is increased. Vindicta is still fought over two phases; the second phase begins when she reaches 150,000 health. Gorvek's fire wall attack in the second phase deals more damage; around 1,500 every tick compared to 900 in normal mode. Normal mode strategies can be applied for phases one and two of the fight.

Upon killing Vindicta at the end of phase two she will fall off of Gorvek and die. Gorvek will become berserk and attack the player. If Vindicta is killed just as she was about use her fly away attack Gorvek will continue to fly away, land in one of the four corners, and perform a fire wall attack. Make sure to move as soon as possible if this happens.

In this third phase the player has to defeat Gorvek. Gorvek has 300,000 health and attacks using melee attacks which can deal up to 4,500 damage. Gorvek attacks every 2 seconds (1.2 ticks). After every 10 melee attacks Gorvek will fly up into the air and launch a fire wall attack at the player's position before landing back in the middle of the room. Despite Gorvek being out of view the player will still attack the area where Gorvek was, as his hitbox still remains until he lands in the centre of the room. This attack rotation is repeated until Gorvek is defeated. Up to three fire walls can be active at any given time.

It is recommended to start the third phase near the centre of the arena with a Blackhole damage rotation. By standing near the centre, the player will always be within range of Gorvek and will not have to run to reach him. Gorvek can still attack the player as he flies to the centre, so it's important to avoid taking too much damage. Devotion and Debilitate are very useful in minimising damage during the fight.

Soul Split flicking is possible during this phase but the player will have to rapidly flick between it and Deflect Melee Gorvek's attack speed of 2 (1.2 seconds). If possible, use Berserk with Divert and Limitless (in case Gorvek's attack hits very low) and try to kill him as quickly as possible.
