Varrock armour 2 is the reward for completing the easy and medium Varrock achievements. Reldo upgrades the player's Varrock armour 1 by attaching further metal plates to it when brought to him. If lost, Reldo will give the player a replacement.

Varrock armour 1		4% chance of mining two copper ore, tin ore, iron ore, or coal at once. 4% chance of smelting an extra bronze, iron, or steel bar, granting an extra bar. 4% chance of double progress per strike when smithing bronze, iron, or steel equipment. The drop chance of skull sceptre parts is greatly increased. Grants 1% bonus Mining experience; does not contribute to the golden mining suit's set bonus.		Ability to use the Edgeville furnace. Naff sells an additional 8 battlestaves (16 total). Ability to toggle Varrock Teleport to arrive at the entrance of the Grand Exchange by talking to any of the Varrock task NPCs; also affects tablets and Varrock portals.
Varrock armour 2		3% chance of mining two mithril ore, adamantite ore, or luminite at once. 3% chance of smelting an extra mithril or adamant bar, granting an extra bar. 3% chance of double progress per strike when smithing mithril or adamant equipment. The drop chance of skull sceptre parts is further increased.		Naff sells an additional 16 battlestaves (32 total).
Varrock armour 3		2% chance of mining two runite ore, orichalcite, drakolith, necrite ore, or phasmatite at once. 2% chance of smelting an extra rune, orikalkum, or necronium bar, granting an extra bar. 2% chance of double progress per strike when smithing rune, orikalkum, or necronium equipment.		Naff sells an additional 32 battlestaves (64 total). The Cooks' Guild can be entered without a chef's hat or Cooking cape. The Cooks' Guild bank area can now be accessed. Bork's charm and gem drops are doubled. Bork now gives 3,000 Slayer experience when killed; further increased to 8,000 after The Mighty Fall.
Varrock armour 4		1% chance of mining two banite, light animica, or dark animica at once. 1% chance of smelting an extra bane or elder rune bar, granting an extra bar. 1% chance of double progress per strike when smithing bane or elder rune equipment. 5 free bolt enchantments per day, for ruby bolts and below (the player is still required to have the runes in their inventory)	Unlimited teleport to Bork's lair.	Naff sells an additional 16 battlestaves (80 total). Access to the log storage boxes near the beacons. Ability to toggle Varrock Teleport to arrive at the Saradomin altar in north-eastern Varrock by talking to any of the Varrock task NPCs; also affects tablets and Varrock portals. The price of moving and redecorating your house is halved. Reduced chance of being randomly teleported within the Chaos Tunnels.

• patch 7 January 2019 (Update):
  • Varrock armour now increases the chance for double bars when smelting, for double ore when mining and for double progress when smithing. Higher levels of the armour work on higher level metals.
  • New varrock armour doubles the effectiveness of varrock armour, and allows its mining and smithing benefits to work without wearing the armour.

• patch 23 April 2018 (Update):
  • Amended the lighting on the Varrock Armour tier 1-3 to fix some inconsistency with the player skin colour when wearing the armour.

• patch 13 March 2017 (Update):
  • Players with keepsaked versions of Varrock armour can now continue to claim the rewards for higher task sets from the relevant NPCs.

• patch 11 January 2016 (Update):
  • Crystallise will now correctly consume double ores gained via the Varrock armour effect.

• ninja 18 August 2014 (Update):
  • You can now benefit from the Varrock armour Smithing bonus when wearing the blacksmith’s top (assuming you've completed the respective achievement diary).

• patch 11 December 2013 (Update):
  • Varrock armour will now give the correct amount of bonus XP while wearing the golden mining suit.

• patch 13 November 2012 (Update):
  • Ores mined from concentrated gold deposits whilst wearing the Varrock armour platebody will now count towards the relevant Mining challenge.

• patch 2 April 2012 (Update):
  • The Varrock platebody is now correctly considered a part of the Golden mining suit set for the XP bonus.

• patch 13 December 2011 (Update):
  • Smithing with the Varrock Tasks reward armour now takes coal from a coal bag when the double bars effect takes place.

• patch 15 February 2011 (Update):
  • The mining juju potion now works correctly with this armour.

• patch 13 January 2009 (Update):
  • Fixed render issues with the Pendant of Armadyl and the Varrock achievement reward armour.

Trivia

• When smithing at a faster rate, the player will smith using the old animation.
• Before the Personalised Shops update, this armour gave better prices in stores throughout Varrock. This was replaced with the benefits affecting the skull sceptre.
• One of the figures on the old emote interface appeared to be wearing Varrock armour 2 or something similar, even though the armour was introduced after he was.
• If you mine an ore without wearing your Varrock armour, you will get the message, "If you were wearing your Varrock armour you could have gained an extra ore."
