re:navbox[edit source]

That's not the kind of thing I would normally have a category for. Since it's more of a maintenance task and is expected to get removed, I think it makes more sense to have a single checklist page to keep track of it, instead of putting that category on every single quest page and needing to go to each one when it's time to remove the category. Re:Locations[edit source]

Template needn't have locations IMO. Given the depth of the Myreque series, it'd become Template:Mortyania. :P User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 13:53, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

Quest length[edit source]

Regarding this: not necessarily. The Quest infobox contains the official information, as present in the game/Jagex wiki; the walkthrough information further down (to my knowledge) contains the actual/proper length and other quest information. At least, that's how it is on all other quest pages. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 15:30, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

Re: File link broken[edit source]

Just for the record, while RS:DEU states that one should not edit someone else's user page, maintenance edits such as red link fixes are an allowed exception. Granted, asking for permission is of course in no way bad, but I just wanted to let you know. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:03, January 12, 2015 (UTC)

Re:[edit source]

You made a new page instead of just uploading a file. --dDbvitC.pngScuzzy Betahib8CAd.png 19:41, January 12, 2015 (UTC)

If you want a free image editing program (for Windows, Mac and Linux), I recommend downloading GIMP. Just select the eraser tool, then select 'hard edge' in the same window as where you selected the eraser tool, and then reduce the eraser size to 1px by scaling it down with the scale box that says 'Size'. Then zoom in on the image with ctrl+scroll up, and then you should be able to apply transparency on inventory icons.
If that doesn't make the background checkered, you need to first select Layer->Transparency->Add Alpha Channel. See User:Spineweilder/Transparency#Adding transparent pixels for an image, and see the rest of that page for a full guide on how to apply transparency to larger objects (if you're interested in that at all). For inventory icons, the method I just described should suffice though. JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 18:25, January 13, 2015 (UTC)
Spine just expanded his transparency guide to include a section about applying transparency to inventory icons. [[User:Spineweilder/Transparency guide#Applying transparency to inventory icons|you can read it here]]. That guide also has pictures for each of the steps, so that's probably easier than the text-based one I posted. I hope you find it helpful! JOEYTJE50TALKpull my finger 20:57, January 13, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Prifddinian templates[edit source]

They are looking good. I'm glad to see the original Prifddinas navbox split out. A few things I'm unsure about, though:

  • Adding links to the template pages of other navboxes
  • Linking "NPCs" and "items" in the title of those two navboxes

If I think of anything else, I'll drop a note (a bit short on time atm, sorry). IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:06, January 14, 2015 (UTC)

Rollback[edit source]

Please do not use the rollback function when you disagree with an edit, a normal undo (+ explaining summary as you're used to) should be used instead. The rollback function is reserved strictly for vandalism. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 05:00, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

From what I can see in the history, 5-x made two edits: one simply editing the article after you did, and the second one being a normal "undo" of your "rollback". I don't see him having used the rollback function. If you using it was by mistake, my apologies for jumping the gun.
As for the naming matter, I'm all for consistency in using the same term everywhere. As far as I know, both the voice of Seren icons' tooltips and the elven tasks refer to them as "districts", but I haven't looked at what other parts of the game use. I don't specifically have a preference on which term to use. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 08:56, January 15, 2015 (UTC)

RE[edit source]

Because they've been redlinked since release, almost half a year. It's not helping anyone to have the broken file there, it's clogging up categories and special pages, and the broke link takes pushes the indent in almost a third of the space allotted. When someone finally gets the image, the file can be added back, but that's not going to happen any time soon. Broken files and links are fine for new content, because it helps show what still needs to be done, but this is far from new. It's causing more harm than good. MolMan 21:04, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Your bot and the overall counts of 120s and 200mxp's[edit source]

I hadn't actually checked before, but it does look like the number of players with 120 in all skills is actually quite low at the moment, so could be done by checking the skill xp levels of the individual players. However, I also noticed that the Bot is not really updating the players will all 99's correctly, because it is just updating it with the number of players with the max total of 2595. I will disable the updating of all the "overall" counts by the Bot as it is getting it wrong anyway.

If you do get something that updates the overall, then maybe you could also update the other skills too, then I can turn off this feature of the Bot altogether. I have not played Runescape for a while (since I briefly got my trimmed completionist, and then gave up trying to get it back again). I am looking for other Bots to take up the roles covered by the AmauriceBot so I can eventually shut it down. Some of the roles have already been picked up by other Bots (and been shut down in AmauriceBot), but some still remain with it. I am willing to provide what information I can in such a transfer. Navbox order[edit source]

In regards to this, so far the general consensus in the forum thread is to base the order not on being chronological, but on how relevant (and specific) the navbox is; as it only plays a tiny part in TWW (a cutscene), the bottom seems to be the most appropriate. That said, I won't turn this into a discussion to change it back. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 13:58, March 8, 2015 (UTC)

Hiscorecounts[edit source]

I noticed you updated the overall count for players with 99's, which is something I'm looking to incorporate into my bot along with the rest of the counts. However, the sheer number of requests I need to make gets into the thousands, so I'm trying to find something quicker. How did you get the number? cqm 09:14, 18 Mar 2015 (UTC) (UTC)

When you say maxed, what do you mean? Are you looking for the last person with 2574 total level? The problem with that is if someone has 100 dungeoneering and 98 in something else - how can you tell if the player genuinely has all 99s or if they have a total level inflated by dungeoneering? cqm 01:31, 21 Mar 2015 (UTC) (UTC)

RE[edit source]

If you think it's rude, you're really taking it to personally. Yes, I saw the response. I didn't really care. Approximately 5 people know what the category is, and approximately 2 of them make navboxes. If someone is invested in your project enough to use that silly category, they can easily switch over to the subpage list.

Your list was by no means dynamic. It only changed if someone who made a template actually knew to remove it. The list I created was an exact copy of the category at that time. The list is in your userspace because it was your idea, and it's exactly as much work as removing the category.

Literally the only difference is where the list is stored, and frankly, it should have only been on a subpage from the start. If you don't want to be nonsensically triggered by edits that make sense, then you should not make stupid categories to begin with.

And now that you've gotten a taste of what actual rudeness is, I think you should thank me for preserving the list exactly as it was, instead of just leaving you to create another by hand. You're welcome.

Riblet sums up the issue nicely in the diff I linked in my creation summary. If you don't like it, then oh well. MolMan 02:02, May 9, 2015 (UTC)

Comp cape req[edit source]

Why 'No'? One chapter should be guaranteed every 20th lap. The book should be complete is 160 laps, while you already need 200 laps for the title, thus subsuming the requirement. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 06:59, May 26, 2015 (UTC)
