RE: Max Cape trivia[edit source]

We have a policy against it, see RS:PDDA. You can ask on the max cape's talk page if that bit of trivia can be added, but I'm pretty sure it falls under that policy. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 21:46, September 20, 2016 (UTC)

With respect to the PDDA article, Trivia articles are by definition "trivia" about a certain subject. In this case, a previously held speed record being broken so massively by using Treasure Hunter. As for the PDDA, reason #3 says that players can be mentioned for 'firsts' such as First 99, First 200m XP etc. Surely earning a Max Cape in such a small amount of time should be acknowledged at the very least, even if it doesn't include the persons name. I would even propose linking the final video he made from the account showing the time he accumulated, if it wasn't in the wiki's interests to link him by name. The bigger issue is that the time is not verifiable - it's completely self-reported and we have to take the player's word for it. The difference between this case and "firsts" is that the fastest time will change as players break the record, unlike the first player to 99 Summoning, for example, and we'd have to constantly somehow make sure it is up to date. For all we know, someone's already broken A Friend's record but hasn't publicly announced it, meaning our information is already incorrect. --Iiii I I I 23:21, September 20, 2016

Fair point, although I highly doubt anyone else outside of sponsorships is going to spend $13'000 on a video game. That record is going to remain for a long time. Morbuss (talk) 00:28, September 21, 2016 (UTC)
Just off-topic here, I might follow the user talk pages I respond to, but most editors only see a reaction if you post it on their user talk page ;). As for the trivia, Iiii I I I is right. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 07:16, September 21, 2016 (UTC)
