Welcome![edit source]

RuneScape Wiki

Hello, Moey, and welcome to the RuneScape Wiki!

Thank you for taking an interest in our wiki. If you have any trouble or need help, feel free to ask questions on my talk page or any other editor's talk page. Also, you could look at a help page or you could shout out on the local forums. We hope you like it here and decide to stay!

Here are a few pages to help out new editors such as yourself:

Please sign your name on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Signature) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date. Signing your comments is important, as it lets other editors know who has posted which comments.

Again, welcome! --LiquidTalk 13:21, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

For future reference, don't include instructions/comments in the image as these are easily (and easier in my opinion) expressed in text which can be altered if necessary. Thanks. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 06:11, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

Pile Jumping[edit source]

Hi, Pile Jumping, while a cowardly and dishonorable practice, is not against the rules, and therefore is not exempt from encyclopedic documentation, including a brief guide on how it is done. Thanks for your concern though. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 08:07, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

I would love to write that PJing is a bad thing to do, however one of the cornerstones of our wiki philosophy is a neutral point of view. Saying pile jumping is bad is an opinion. It can't be backed up by facts, statistics, or sources. Its nothing that can be proved or disproved. Furthermore, if we said it was bad, the people who said it was good (the PJers, mostly) would write that it is good. The thing is, they would be just as right as we are, because neither side can be proven. The result would be a constant edit war between the two sides. As morally right as it is, its not factually right, so its not appropriate for inclusion in an encyclopedia. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar.png 17:47, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
