Hello, Duffmaaan, and welcome to the RuneScape Wiki! Here are a few pages that you might find helpful:

If you have any trouble or need help, feel free to ask questions on mine or any other editor's talk page. We hope you like it here and decide to stay!

Matt (t) 05:24, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

Thank's for correcting my link mistake on the Mage's book page, but I was handling it actually.. was about to fix it myself if you just had give a chance... ^^

My apologies for interrupting, around that time we'd had anonymous people going around vandalising pages with no intentions of fixing them. In the future I'll leave it a little while before I make any changes. Duffmaaan (talk) 05:02, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

Undoing[edit source]

Hey man, can you start providing reasons when you use that undo button? It's common courtesy to have an edit summary unless it's blatant vandalism (and even then, undos should have a summary). You should also start warning vandals because they may just think the site glitched or something else; they'll usually continue without being told that what they're doing is wrong and punishable. You can probably successfully request rollback rights, but just remember to only use them for blatant vandalism and to assume good faith. MolMan 01:45, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah for sure, thanks for pointing this out. If there's anything else I can improve on feel free to leave another message. Duffmaaan (talk) 05:02, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

No worries[edit source]

You didn't step on any toes with that edit. In fact you caught things I would have missed. That's what I love about working on wikis. :)
Lexmechanic (talk) 12:56, April 6, 2013 (UTC)

Warning[edit source]

There's more than just {{Novandal}} to use... Frankly, you should use a variety of templates. e.g. that charm log vandal. That was obvious vandalism on a charm log, so {{Cl2}} would have been more appropriate. If a user vandals more than once, use {{warn3}}, etc. All thɘ availablɘ tɘmplatɘs arɘ listɘd hɘrɘ. MolMan 00:42, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah I actually noticed that afterwards haha, I went to the page and looked to see if there was any specific to the charm log. Thanks for pointing it out though :) Duffmaaan (talk) 00:45, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Charm Log Vandalism[edit source]

I didnt violate the charm drop page -_-

Yes you did, see The Mol Man's post on your page. Duffmaaan (talk) 23:55, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Spelling & Grammar[edit source]

Thanks for the help, I really do suck at spelling. I should probably consider using a spell checker.

Your undos[edit source]

This didn't need to be undone bro, it would've been much nicer to fix it up or provide a reason. Real Crazy 12:46, April 26, 2013 (UTC)

I disagree. The removed statement repeated the previous line almost word for word before basically saying "so they got pwnd!" (That's a paraphrase, of course.) I feel that it added nothing and removing it was justified. — Lexmechanic (talk) 18:28, April 26, 2013 (UTC)
What Lex said. It added absolutely no useful content to the article and so it deserved to be reverted. An edit summary wasn't even necessary. Duffmaaan (talk) 23:35, April 26, 2013 (UTC)
If it wasn't blatant vandalism, it did need an edit summary. MolMan 23:37, April 26, 2013 (UTC)

Lower-casing and names[edit source]

Why are you changing item names into beginning with lower-case letters? They are names of items, not just random words. Hence I think it should remain as before because of the fact that they are item names.

Kurrygrodan (talk) 09:15, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

That is the exact reason why I am doing it - it's how it's meant to be done, people just don't bother doing it correctly the first time. This section of the style guide will explain in further detail. Duffmaaan (talk) 09:20, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Well then, that is truly dumb, since every page on this Wikia is done the other way around... Thanks though. Kurrygrodan (talk) 09:24, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

It's mostly because when you go to insert a link into the page it capitalises the letter by default. I just type the links in myself instead of choosing one from the drop down box. Different people just have different ways of doing things is all. Duffmaaan (talk) 09:30, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Book of the gods[edit source]

"Include the info on its possible future storage in a POH when it has actually happened" mind me asking why? . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium. Enquidou Talk This user likes to do Quests and genuinely loves the story line; lore is his love! . . 10:55, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

What's the point in saying "Oh it could happen in the future but no one knows for sure"? Duffmaaan (talk) 11:06, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
It's part of the information, I don't see a reason not do add it. . . . Yours, This user admires the Void Knights. Who aim to maintain Gielinor's Equilibrium. Enquidou Talk This user likes to do Quests and genuinely loves the story line; lore is his love! . . 11:09, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
Apologies for butting in, but saying the book might be added in the future is too vague, and unnecessary information too. People looking for the information will want to know whter or not it can be stored in the POH bookcase currently, not whther it might be stored in the future. I think it should say that it can't be stored currently and we can edit the wiki in the future if that changes.04ismailjj6 (talk) 11:13, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Tackle box article[edit source]

It provides the "Slots" section header for all the pages that import the content. Special:WhatLinksHere/Tackle box/Slots If people want to edit the Slots content, they just click the header, the same as if the content was in the same article. Generally, they shouldn't have to go to the Slots article otherwise. --Saftzie (talk) 00:07, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

Link[edit source]

The witch's experiment is also called Fritz, apparently. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 03:30, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

I see. Thanks for that. Duffmaaan (talk) 03:42, June 4, 2013 (UTC)

Edit revert[edit source]

Any reason why my edit was deleted on the Bans page? Sounds pretty correct to me. 12:15, July 8, 2013 (UTC)Jimbob

Because it was not written from a neutral point of view and is disputing the professionalism of player moderators. Duffmaaan (talk) 12:18, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Use of rollback[edit source]

Please use the rollback tool only for obvious vandalism, not for good-intentioned but flawed edits. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 09:13, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah I realised afterwards you couldn't leave a note so I wrote a note on his talk page about 5 minutes ago to explain. Duffmaaan (talk) 09:15, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Proofread[edit source]

Hi! Thanks for the proofreading. :3 May I ask, though, why'd you randomly capitalise "christmas" on the Wizards' Tower article? User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:37, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

The word Christmas has always been capitalised like Easter or Hallowe'en.. Isn't this a global thing? o.O Duffmaaan (talk) 07:13, September 8, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, er, dunno. I'll trust you on this, given that I only found out recently that anything referring to the Abrahamic god is capitalised as well... :P User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 16:21, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

Weapons[edit source]

Careful, you're getting close to an edit war on there. I agree, however, that the IP's addition is not relevant or necessary. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 11:07, September 16, 2013 (UTC)

In the process of finding the policy for trivia, I have no plans on continually reverting. Duffmaaan (talk) 11:08, September 16, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Revert[edit source]

Lol, I do pay attention to the wiki, but yeah, They use British spelling in this wiki. So Worshipping is ok, either way, it is the same as Worshiping. I was confused also.Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png 00:40, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

No problem mate.Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png 00:53, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
"Worshiped" would be pronounced as "wor-sheye-pd", rather than "wor-ship-d". Either way, we use British spelling (double P), and I'm sure Americans use this spelling as well. If not, well, it's not the stupidest thing they've done... :P User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 05:31, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
Probably didn't help that I had Google Chrome's dictionary set to US English instead of UK English for some reason haha. At least we're even with our spelling derps now :P No hard feelings. Duffmaaan (talk) 05:35, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ashdale[edit source]

Meh, I was following the section headers for the walkthrough section in pretty much every quest article, such as While Guthix Sleeps. Too tired to argue though, so whatever. Adventurer's log Wahisietel (Talk) Quest map icon.png 11:14, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
