Visual editor[edit source]

For the love of god, stop using the visual editor... MolMan 23:10, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

If you're unsure how to achieve the same in the source editor as the visual editor, [[Help:Wikitext]] is a good place to start :) cqm 00:24, 4 Mar 2013 (UTC) (UTC)

Indents[edit source]

Hi, you shouldn't be using large amounts of spaces or tabs to produce indentations. On the wiki, the syntax is to start the line with a colon(s).

MolMan 22:42, March 17, 2013 (UTC)
OK, I'm still trying to get a hang of this ... but I dont think I'll be doing any more quest transcripts outside of 'maybe' Shield of Arrav.  May get that one done some point before the end of they year ...  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Deltaslug (talk).
That's fine, but it would certainly be nice for you to clean up the mistakes you've made :). Also, please sign yo posts with the 4 tildees ~~~~ MolMan 22:47, March 17, 2013 (UTC)

GWD[edit source]

Are you sure the WE2 tokens count? Someone had recently confirmed that they, in fact, do not. Was this changed then? MolMan 15:34, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

I've used the Armadyl without issue.--Deltaslug (talk) 15:37, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
Alright then. If that's the case, can you remove the tokens from the "Items that do not work" section? MolMan 15:37, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
I'll edit it back, and await other confirmations. I may be glitched in my success ...

Do it[edit source]

Vote for Brassica Prime! RandomPersonThatYouDon'tKnow (talk) 14:51, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

I've gone godless. Brassica 'tolerates' you ... sort of ... and Marimbo seems to find guys desirable, and understands women wanting to be near Holstein. I wonder if the developers had a Mod Liono fetish or he just bribed them a lot ... --Deltaslug (talk) 14:54, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Deltaslug should be banned?[edit source]

Hehehe I'm not sure whether you're playing along or not, but in the instance that you're not, I just used the {{USERNAME}} teplate to psych people out. It displays whatever username you're logged in under. --dDbvitC.pngScuzzy Betahib8CAd.png 18:54, June 10, 2014 (UTC)

Fuh .. eh ... WHA?!?!? how!?! ... why ... I'vasuhduh ... guh .... that's ... mean ... cruel ... YOU REALLY ARE LIKE A CAT!!! --Deltaslug (talk) 18:56, June 10, 2014 (UTC)

Combat levels: Doing what no one else is being bothered to do[edit source]

You're a bauce. MolMan 15:06, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

NP, kinda wish there was a script that linked the cb lvl of the monster page to the cell of the item page in question. Honestly, some of the item pages got out of hand. We don't need sole dropped items to call out qty and cb lvl of monster (like Legios Signets) and honestly, if there are lots of droppers of an item ... not much point in doing that either. But I'm not in the mood to try to delete a bunch of cells only to start an edit fight ... so do this. --Deltaslug (talk) 15:10, August 21, 2014 (UTC)
Great job! may be useful to you. Also personally I wouldn't focus on the MonsterDropsLine templates -- once we have the actual levels in the infoboxes and stuff, we can likely bot most of the combat level parameters in that template. Right now my focus is on monster pages and other random mentions in the text. ʞooɔ 15:15, August 21, 2014 (UTC)
Hmm ... yes ... that would be more practical. Still I'd vote for a "remove combat level from the item pages". I'll keep an eye out for more stuff. The boss item pages are probably the bigger eye catch anyways. Let the bots clean up the lower lvl content :) --Deltaslug (talk) 15:19, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

tier[edit source]

You shouldn't be adding the category directly... Use the |tier = parameter in the Infobox Bonuses template please. MolMan 18:56, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Ah, you also beat me to it on 1 I was trying to correct :( --Deltaslug (talk) 18:59, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Re: A new avatar mod[edit source]

10/10, do i need to collect 300 orts to change it tho? ;) --dDbvitC.pngScuzzy Betahib8CAd.png 15:03, January 12, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Invention Tutorial to Quest XP Rewards Page[edit source]

I'd say no, because it's a tutorial and not an actual quest. You're right though it does use the quest complete window. But that doesn't make it a quest though IMO :/ Isn't there somewhere else it could be mentioned? Maybe at the Invention itself under a tutorial header? Re:Miniquests[edit source]

All miniquests that don't yet have a dialogue page should, if you ask me. :) (and you happen to ask me, haha) User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 19:50, January 29, 2016 (UTC)

Right. Barb training, Rag & Bone Man Wishlist, purple cat and Rogue Trader seem to be missing them. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:04, January 30, 2016 (UTC)

Disassembly[edit source]

Which page are you referring to? The only rune weapon I edited was rune cane, which doesn't give 15 xp. ʞooɔ 19:59, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

Oh! I see what you mean. I missed an extra parameter that says whether items give 10 times experience or not. It's already implemented automatically for category stuff, but not for the general case. ʞooɔ 20:00, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Dialogue needed for KR[edit source]

It seems someone added the category directly at the bottom of the quest. I removed it :). Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 18:42, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

And also to the dialogue page itself, odd. I also removed that one. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 18:43, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Miniquest Transcripts[edit source]

I didn't include miniquests in my count for quests. I may edit my page to clarify. Quill detail.png Eren Lapucet QT 01:11, March 13, 2016 (UTC)

RE:peatable quest subcat[edit source]

We could make a subcategory, although it only will contain 3 quests atm, but ofcourse it could be expanded in the future depending on if Jagex makes more repeatable quests. And what do you exactly mean with field on quest list? Do you mean on List of quest release dates? It's probably best to just add a paragraph to Quests if not already present about repeatable quests. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 09:41, August 2, 2016 (UTC)

I see what you mean. But it's too little atm to really justify an extra column if 205 are "no". Perhaps it could be mentioned elsewhere on page since it's only 3 quests atm, perhaps as trivia? Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 06:50, August 4, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Making a Sandbox User Page to a User Subpage[edit source]

That's already a subpage of your main userpage (User:Deltaslug). If it has a / in the fullpagename, it is a subpage. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 02:38, December 9, 2016 (UTC)

Re:Quest battles[edit source]

Nice job, this is rather useful. I've taken a quick looksie, and, in my opinion, the following events would probably deserve articles of some capacity. I've excluded important 1v1 duels such as vs Count Draynor or vs Nomad since they would probably not have much information in them that could not go on the page of the combatant themselves. Player vs Dagannoth Mother could be covered on the Battle for Rellekka page, for instance. I also see you have created a number of articles yourself, great work! Remember to include a (small) lead paragraph (i.e. don't start an article with a header) and add them to the navbox, though. :) Now (these should probably not be the names of the articles themselves):

  • Goblin Village Ambush
  • Arthur's Knights' breakout
  • Assault on Icthlarin's Fortress
  • Iorwerth Camp battle
  • Maybe Battle in Valuta's Domain, or broader Grayzag/Pest Conflicts article; covered well in Melville's article though
  • Haven't done any Arc miniquests, but there might be something there
  • Haven't done Children of Mah yet either, but perhaps Assassination of Zaros or something for the historical Second Age battle?

Hope thi shelps. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 09:49, December 10, 2016 (UTC)

A minor stylistic issue: Ansela's already fixed them on Second Gielinorian God Wars, but for future reference headers should be sentence case, per RS:STYLE#Sections and headings. Otherwise, you're doing great work on historical/lore articles. --Iiii I I I 04:57, December 11, 2016 (UTC)
Some better name suggestions then.
  • Second Gielinorian God Wars → Sixth Age Conflicts (not really comparable to the Third Age in any way, really)
  • Arthur's thing → Battle of Keep le Faye
  • Battle at the Iorwerth Camp
  • I would definitely prefer Void Pest Conflicts
Are these okay? :) User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 09:04, December 11, 2016 (UTC)
I think those are better seeing how the name goes towards. Including the 2nd godswar one.Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png

the Wikian title[edit source]

Hello! Following the discussion at RuneScape:The Wikian, you have been granted the Wikian title! Please make arrangements with Gaz Lloyd to receive the title in game. If you could please add your in-game name to RuneScape:The Wikian/Users, it would be most appreciated. Thanks and congratulations! svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 01:17, December 14, 2016 (UTC)

Second Gods war End[edit source]

I'll be honest, the ending shouldn't be stated, as we aren't 100% sure if it ended or not. Fact is Sliske's contest didn't start it, it was Saradomin vs Zamorak, Sliske just made a contest to erupt the war further. I think it's better to keep it ongoing. Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png 02:19, December 22, 2016 (UTC)

While you do have a point in most parts, Saradomin vs Zamorak did happen in the sixth age, but none of the battle after that caused so much damage that it is considered as a gods war battle. Even in-game dialogue suggests that it isn't. if you want a placeholder my best option is either Sliske's Contest or like Fswe said Sixth-age conflict. On Sliske's score, remember it is his game. He could have counted our victory over the Dark lord that happened during his contest, or the halloween event when we fight off and defend the grim underworld. But he didn't, remember he added us to add excitement into his game due to the fact no one was erupting the war to happen. I am glad you messaged me to avoid edit war. Now I think we should place a different placeholder for the name instead of that it is already called.Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png 02:47, December 22, 2016 (UTC)
I'll drag some major event on the Sixth Age page and put it in the conflict. Though adding the reason why isn't needed. Remember Tuska's event didn't start because of Sliske's announcement about the game. V's death can be said the same, as well as Nomad's attempt for a new god. Although it can be added as a trivia though, like putting it why Sliske announced his contest, why it didn't scale to a god wars level, ect.Quest.png Adventurerrr Talk Quest.png 04:29, December 22, 2016 (UTC)

RE:The Wikian title and User Space Edits[edit source]

I don't know why you directed that to me, I was agreeing with you? I meant to clarify in my comments on his nomination that in his case the user space edits shouldn't be ignored as it was meant as one big piece of information that we all can use for the mainspace. And this is not the first time that someone got Wikian because of just the info they supplied instead of putting it on the wiki themselves, which he also has been doing. And let's not forget the numerous modules he made, as I commented on his nomination, he skipped wikitext and went straight to Lua. Visual editor on transcripts[edit source]

Please, do not use the visual editor to edit transcripts if you're familiar with the source editor (I would recommend not using it anywhere). This edit messed up the formatting of the whole page, and because it was not spotted, it can no longer be undone. Let me know if you have any questions. Habblet (talk|c) 14:13, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

RE:Retirement[edit source]

Hello, sorry for my bluntness yesterday. It was an honest mistake and I should've been more constructive about it. Thank you for adding the missing piece of dialogue. I'm not sure what you mean by retiring your account, if you mean to delete it, that's not currently supported, but it may be in the future. You can send in a request through Special:Contact, but I hope you'll stay with us. Thanks, and sorry about that. Habblet (talk|c) 12:02, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

That's understandable. Your work on transcripts is much appreciated, especially during a time in which the wiki had so few of them. Habblet (talk|c) 12:01, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
