Stuff[edit source]

Heya, Liquidhelm redirected me to you on the Senliten's tomb matter (see our talk pages), so, er, hi. Basically, I still disagree with the decision: not only was it not clear or implied at all that the image stood a chance of being delisted during the nomination, but it's also rather silly to keep Tony's version when it was decided by consensus that the other one was better. What do you think? User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:24, June 21, 2017 (UTC)

I don't think there is consensus that Java is obsolete, not least since you can just go ahead and play it, and NXT is unfinished. That discussion established that NXT is preferred to Java - and so it would be in this case, were it not for the apparent opinion that the Java version was deemed superior. That being the situation, I'd say UCS supercedes any policy that places NXT over Java in general situations. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 16:05, June 21, 2017 (UTC)
I'd be fighting a lost battle. :P My point is that people prefer the Java version, so I don't see why the NXT version should be used, even if this wasn't related to FIMGs. It is, however, and nothing in the nomination implied the image would be delisted if the replacement did not pass. I for one, would still have the NXT image be featured, even though I (and the others) think it's not as good as the Java one. Actually, why does it even matter which is Java and which is NXT? There are two versions, people prefer one, i.e. use that one. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 19:38, June 21, 2017 (UTC)
The consensus of the forum was that NXT is preferred to Java and Java images can be tagged. In this case, however, while a priori the NXT version was preferred, it became clear from the nomination that people think the Java version is better (in this particular case). I fail to see, then, why we should blindly follow policy...
And Java images definitely aren't considered obsolete, there is merely a preference for NXT when two otherwise equivalent images of the subject exist,; e.g. a Java image is better than an NXT image of poorer quality, whereas an NXT image is by consensus better if there are no differences. In this case, there are differences. I am not going to start a forum thread about this since it's very minor thing and it'd come across as extremely petty, methinks, by the way. I'd much rather this be resolved in personal discussions... User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:29, June 22, 2017 (UTC)
Addendum: actually, this is the last thing I'll say on the matter since the discussion is devolving into another Java vs NXT rant and I've had enough of those. My point is the following; a replacement image was suggested and opposed. Why then, should the image be delisted and the version deemed lesser in quality be used? Solely "because it's NXT"? That's hardly a reason, a prime case of just blindly following guidelines as if they were rules set in stone - Draconian measures to ensue if you don't obey. I'll leave it at that, and leave the discussion to your (plural) discretion, in the hope that common sense shall prevail. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 07:20, June 22, 2017 (UTC)

Coins/Chimes[edit source]

I saw that you made the original module for Coins so I figured I should ask you: do you think a module/template should be added for Chimes? There are a ton of plinks for them floating around and in some cases people put the number first, in others second. If everyone was using a template for it, it'd be uniform. Re: Chimes/Coins[edit source]

Hi... Regarding the discussion you and dsctatom were having... Is the template Basenji did based on an idea he had from your discussion what you were looking for? Fishing cape.png Kate the HuntressQuest.png 13:39, June 25, 2017 (UTC)

Hello[edit source]

This is one of the few wikis I could find with an actually normal working navbox, would you please help me on my own wiki (mahuset.wikia.com) with implementing it? The help would be very greatly appreciated. --{{SUBST:MahusetSig}} 23:15, August 19, 2017 (UTC)

Hiscore Cresbot[edit source]

Hi!

I noticed that your bot, Cresbot, hasn't been updating Module:Hiscore counts since the end of June. Could it be made running again? ArcticFire (talk) 00:27, December 12, 2017 (UTC)

Tools[edit source]

Hey Cqm. Could I trouble you to reinstate my admin tools? Not coming out of retirement or anything - but I'd rather have them than not for the odd edit/deletion and such. Cheers. C.ChiamTalk 07:47, June 1, 2018 (UTC)

RE:Admin[edit source]

I think I'll pass up the offer as I don't need access to the admin tools at the moment. I'll keep the offer in mind in case I find myself needing the tools in the future. FredeTalk 09:13, June 14, 2018 (UTC)

Vote in the Weird Gloop elections![edit source]

Hi Cqm!

Because of your involvement with the wiki, you are eligible to vote on the candidates for the board of Weird Gloop, the company that hosts the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape wikis.

See meta:Weird Gloop elections/2019/Candidates for candidate presentations, and meta:Weird Gloop elections for how to vote – it'll take maybe 5 minutes.

There are 4 candidates for RuneScape, 4 candidates for OSRS, and 1 candidate for pt-RuneScape. If you'd like to influence who represents the voices of these communities inside the company, I strongly encourage you to vote! You are one of only 204 people that meet the requirements, and this is a chance to help shape the future of the wikis.

Thanks! ʞooɔ 01:08, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Do you want a free wiki t-shirt?[edit source]

Hi Cqm!

Because of your contributions to the community over the last year, we'd like to send you one! If you're interested, go fill out this form, and we'll get those shipped out before the end of the month.

If you have any questions, shoot me a talk page message or a DM on Discord (Cook#2222). Thanks!

User:Cresbot[edit source]

Hello. Could you look into the inner workings of User:Cresbot? It seems the data for Divination under the section Data for Hiscores lowest rank in Module:Hiscore counts has been updated incorrectly, and it's not the first time this happened. Thanks in advance. 5-x (Talk) 18:57, 19 September 2021 (UTC)

Not sure, just noticed it in a couple places where Hiscore counts are used. 5-x (Talk) 22:14, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
