Hey, I saw the Icon. I don't think the word "RuneScape" is very readable. For all I know it could say "PruneScape" and I would suggest making the font bigger and choose a different font thats a little more readable. RE: Poll
I was trying to shorten the text of the poll. It was taking up too much space, and clearly that is not beneficial to the Main Page. Polls usually have short options so that people can immediately read it and respond. I also fixed the formatting of the dates (International style according to our Style guide).

Wikifest: CW
I've been reading through the page you've put up on the Fest. Looks good, but we really need to elborate in the case of CW; are we going to be making a pit stop at BH (for the bank), and what are the rules going to be (aside from Safety, which we know about: I'm talking arena, point style (Last one standing vs. First to # kills), time, if we'll be doing any Free-for-alling, that fun stuff). Has there been any discussion on the matter? If there hasn't, I'll start one in the Event Thread. --

- I'm a bit concerned about the banking like that; I'm guessing that I'm not the only person attending the fest that use trimmed (or even member) armour as their main armour; we don't want people to have an incident with Revs on the way and lose potentially millions. It just seems to be a bit of a long trek across a dangerous part of the wildy could have it's risk cut.
- I also can't help but feel that we should at least have some guidelines for the main two clans for the CW events (R S Wikia and whatever clan we're using as a second team). I mean, everyone has their preferences. (Personally, I want a first to # kills since it means that the lower levels won't be forced to sit out and watch after being defeated)
- I'll bring this up on the Fest thread and see what the community thinks about it. --

Hey Bonzi... Im going to have to apologize. Im cant be online all this week. My health is in terrible shape. There are so many ogres, you know! - Being that nothing is set in stone there's lots of personal judgment involved. I always try to keep in mind (this is based off talking to several vandals in RL, in game, and seeing other discussions regarding this topic. You can see RuneScape_talk:Counter_Vandalism_Unit#Warnings here that this has been debated a long time.) that many of the kids doing the vandalizing will not do it again if they realize that it is noticed and undone and they are warned within 2 minutes of the offense. Yes, I have talked to vandals to try to get a feel for how to deal with them. Most of them had no idea we had a recent changes pages to monitor. Yes, I realize there are exceptions. I try to consider the harm value of the vandalism when deciding on a block. Changing the price of a rune med helm to 100 coins will fool no one, so its a nuisance vandal, not a harmful one. Changing the alch value on a hard to obtain quest item to 50k could fool someone and result in many hours lost in game. So that is harmful and worthy of a 1 to 3 day block. Of course, the racist crap and highly offensive language gets no second chance to me. But someone putting the word poo in the middle of an article would prob just get a warning. It's stupid but kinda funny. I'm much harsher on second offenses, most likely because they had a chance, and they were warned. You'll get a feel and develop a good set of rules to go by I am sure. Just think of the harm value of the edit. and that thing about not Dharoking a chicken. That's funny too.--Degenret01 04:29, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

- Wikipedia has 2,280,897 articles as of 05:06, 16 March 2008 (UTC), and every vandal I've seen so far has received their fair chance to stop vandalizing before the block. Also, on WP, some vandals carry out useless editing after temporary blocking. If we do go ahead and use the vandal templates, an effective soulution would be perm blocking for registered accounts and something else for the IPs. I can't think of any way to deal with them. - I also consider how easy it can be to accidentally blank part of a page (whole pages, not so easy IMO) while trying to do an edit, then something comes up and they can't fix it. Comp crashes, class ends, mom needs comp, what ever. Consider the number of visits we get a day here. Surely some of this junk is an accident. Hey bonzi, I wanted to let you know that I thought you did a good job cleaning this messy situation in the CC rank and such. Things were getting personal and you steered the conversation to much more neutral and impartial territory, nice job. I have two questions about the conclusion of that thread.
- We didn't really follow up on the logging of kicks. It looks like we got a consensus (my count was 9 to 4). So can I go ahead with setting up that page? Or do you want to? I'd be happy to help do it, unless you've already got an idea of how you want to do it.
- Can we get the RfCC onto the community page? I think that people are less likely to contribute to the discussion if they have to go seaching for this subpage. What do you think?

- Yes I am very aware that we're not a democracy, and I can see how the opinions didn't entirely look like a consensus. Maybe it's good to let this one lie for a while. The idea is there, and if we need to revisit it for any reason, we can. My biggest concern about this is dealing with the issues fairly and impartially, so that tempers cool, and we can enjoy the CC. I just want you to know that I am sorry for breaking the "No Personal Images" rule 3 times. I just joined the Wiki last month and am still trying to figure out what pictures are acceptable and which ones aren't. I'll check out the rules again to make sure I don't do it again.
