Re:Quests[edit source]

Hai. The Barrows Brothers are just undead spirits; if they were classified as separate subspecies, we'd have to do that for two dozen more thingies. As for the quests, I'm currently busy, but give me some time to read it and I'll reply asap (today or tomorrow). :) User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 06:14, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I've read it fully now. All in all, it seems like a great quest! Obviously, you need to define the puzzles etc. better but it seems like lots of fun. What perhaps worries me is the appearance of characters like Delrith, Nezikchened, Chronozon, the warbands... It seems like they were "thrown in" just to have them there, while not giving them a real role. Personally, I like doing this myself, but I've learnt to restrain myself (if you remember Night of the Kinshra, maybe I shouldn't have given Malignius, Dissy and Zinny roles, despite how hilarious they might be...). I think it'd be better to isolate a few things you want to have in the quest and really emphasise and develop them, rather than throw in lots and lots of stuff and give them minor roles. In this quest, I'd like to see Zilyana, Constantinus, Pazuzu (obviously), the Temple Knights and the Order of Demon Slayers highlighted, for example. Of course, there can be minor characters like the chaos elemental, Kree, K'ril, etc. but overdoing it is not good IMO. My next point is the choices you make. Or rather, not make; you help Zilyana and the Zamorakian faction in the GWD. Personally, I despise Zilyana as of TWW and I've always hated Zamorakians (all hail Zaros!), so I'd need a REALLY good reason to work with them. I imagine this reason being to stop Pazuzu, but remember our character is quite naive AND doesn't know about Pazuzu's power fully. It'd have to be really made clear why we'd help each faction. As for the plot itself: love it. And a good way to make AoG more canonical! If you need any more advice, to ask me. User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 15:23, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Chathead[edit source]

I'll try, but I can't promise I will be able to use elements from all of those. Warning: whatever will result, it'll be absolutely horrific. I'll leave it up to your friend to come up with a name for this fiend! :P User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 19:44, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

I tried something, but it turned out horrible. And not in the good way. I'll give it another go later. :3 User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 08:54, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

Re:A Temple Devoured[edit source]

Thanks a lot for the feedback - I'm glad you like it. :) Let's see if I can clear those points you raised:

  • Indeed, Sheldon is quite random and I hesitated a lot whether to include him or not. I decided to do so in the end, because his comedic theme makes the beginning of the quest very light, perfectly-blue-sky-day-ish, which, I think, wonderfully contrasts with the darkness and danger that arises later. I could easily write him out, yes, but I fear that might make the archaeological dig part rather short...
  • To be frank, I'd completely forgotten about the amulet as soon as I wrote the part where you left the site. I think I could do something with it, yes. What about it being Neite's former amulet and, if you show it to her, she'll repair it with awesome cat-magic, allowing you to teleport to the Temple of Amascut (close to Kalphite Hive, Bedabin Camp, fairy ring, etc.) once a day? Good idea, anyway!
  • Yay, I love Deeshyrick as well. I could make him female, aye, no problem.
    • True... Jhallan is rude and sneaky and mean - his pacifism came much much later. I'd like to keep him in the story though (I think a recurring character would be more interesting than some random dead guy, especially since I added Mizzarch already (and we get to see Jhallan rejuvenated!!)), but I'll have to adjust his lines.
  • Good point. Seeing that the dig site collapses, it'll have to be in some rubble or something.
  • Osman doesn't really respect his daughter hanging out with dead people and doing all the monkey business, nor does he know the importance of Queen Senliten. For him, she's just some weird ghost who plays with monkeys. Having him grovel before her in awe wouldn't really fit Osman.
  • Good idea. I wrote that bit months ago, so I'll have to reread it to make sure I stick to what I was trying to achieve, but I think it's very possible, yeah.

Well, I hope that clears up some things. I'll make those changes ASAP, though I'd like to hear your opinion on Sheldon again, after reading my explanation. Thanks again for reading! Smile User_talk:Fswe1 Fswe1 Brassica Prime symbol.png 12:26, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Quest rework[edit source]

Well, I don't know if I'll ever get anywhere with my quest rework thread, I've not even started it yet, it's more of an idea. So I'd say keep writing yours, I think two threads could coexist, after all, what quests should and shouldn't be reworked is rather subjective, as is how they should be. We could link to eachother's threads from the first post and stuff. Adventurer's log Wahisietel (Talk) Quest map icon.png 17:30, September 25, 2013 (UTC)

Meg's cases[edit source]

That transcript is pretty big, and we only have 2 cases out. I think you should consider splitting it, either by case or series. MolMan 12:25, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

  • Honestly, I don't mind it being a little bit bigger page. I do understand why people might want to split it, though, although personally I'd go with the current version. That said, I am willing to change it, there's nothing wrong with the idea: at this point, it feels a little bit redundant to split it into seperate pages, though: we have no idea how much text there will be in total, after all, so in the end there might very well be just about enough text for a single page, or there is enough text to justify splitting the page. For now, I don't have plans to split it, though: I'll see for now how the future cases turn out and then determine what to do. AquaMage2459 (talk) 20:36, May 5, 2016 (UTC)
It's on the verge of being about 100kb+, which is pretty inflated.
Also, please don't forget the ==Transcript== header when using {{Transcript}}. MolMan 16:46, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
100kb does not sound too bad to me: that said, I do not have context or reason to why it would be a bad thing. If the page starts to get really out of control, feel free to split it. I will also try to do my best to use the header when using the Transcript template. Thanks for the notification! AquaMage2459 (talk) 17:34, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
Would make it the 3rd largest article on the wiki. Also 100kb wikitext equates to much larger html. MolMan 17:38, May 6, 2016 (UTC)
Oh. So in practice, the complete page would be the largest page on the wiki, and would take ages to load. Yeah, sounds like the page needs to be split into smaller sections. AquaMage2459 (talk) 17:44, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

RoB Transcript[edit source]

Arggh, I can't believe I spent 10 minutes typing out dialogue for that cutscene only for it to say someone has already edited the page barely a minute earlier. :P

I'm stuck on the Wyrd battle, so you'll have to fill out the rest of the dialogue I'm afraid :( 04ismailjj6 (talk) 19:51, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

Chathead anim[edit source]

Lodestone icons[edit source]

Hey, those are really good quality. Are they from the cache, or did you or someone else vector them? Either way, nicely done. :) --dDbvitC.pngScuzzy Betahib8CAd.png 14:55, August 26, 2016 (UTC)

Neither: I downloaded them from the Official RuneScape Wiki before it was deleted, which probably means they're the original designs for the icons. I thought they had way too good quality to let them be deleted for good. Still, thanks.

Huh?[edit source]

I was just wondering why you gave [[:File:Stomp concept art.png]] and [[:File:Skinweaver concept art.png]] such random names as you did? Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 13:31, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

I didn't give the files those names, those were their original names from the site where I found them. Rand seems to be the original name for Dungeoneering while it was in development, while the rest of the words in the names are perfectly understandable. That said, I suppose they were a bit too confusing.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AquaMage2459 (talk).

Site where you found them? Uh... which site was this? P.S. please sign all talk page messages, even on your own talk. Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 14:00, October 5, 2016 (UTC)
Photobucket. Why exactly would it matter? AquaMage2459 (talk) 15:02, October 5, 2016 (UTC)
Because it's possible that we can't use them. Whose photobucket was it? Small recharge gem.png AnselaJonla Slayer-icon.png 15:10, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, where did you get those concept art from? I'd like to source it in the file's description. Achievements Coelacanth0794 Talk Contribs 19:10, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

the Wikian title[edit source]

Hello! Following the discussion at RuneScape:The Wikian, you have been granted the Wikian title! Please make arrangements with Gaz Lloyd to receive the title in game. If you could please add your in-game name to RuneScape:The Wikian/Users, it would be most appreciated. Thanks and congratulations! svco4bY.png3Gf5N2F.png 01:17, December 14, 2016 (UTC)

Hey! Just checking back through RuneScape:the Wikian/Users, and you don't appear to have claimed your title yet. Please contact me in-game (accounts Gaz Lloyd or Gaz L) or via RS:DISCORD to arrange a meetup so I can grant it :) Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 22:23, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

AoG navbox[edit source]

I noticed you added "common" locations to the {{Armies of Gielinor}} navbox. Could you please remove those common locations from that navbox? This is to prevent navbox clutter as a navbox should be a two way street (navbox on article, article on navbox). For the same reason none of the quest navboxes as well as the navboxes for the 3 novels list common locations or common items. And in this case the AoG-exclusive locations should suffice. NPCs however can be listed, that's why special character-only navboxes exist to prevent navbox cluttering on their pages. Zambonis[edit source]

I would say the fact it's using the same animations and basic model shape follows common sense in that he's an ogre. And yes, I'd agree Unwieldly is an ourg too. Achievements Coelacanth0794 Talk Contribs 13:01, July 3, 2018 (UTC)

Vote in the Weird Gloop elections![edit source]

Hi AquaMage2459!

Because of your involvement with the wiki, you are eligible to vote on the candidates for the board of Weird Gloop, the company that hosts the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape wikis.

See meta:Weird Gloop elections/2019/Candidates for candidate presentations, and meta:Weird Gloop elections for how to vote – it'll take maybe 5 minutes.

There are 4 candidates for RuneScape, 4 candidates for OSRS, and 1 candidate for pt-RuneScape. If you'd like to influence who represents the voices of these communities inside the company, I strongly encourage you to vote! You are one of only 204 people that meet the requirements, and this is a chance to help shape the future of the wikis.

Thanks! ʞooɔ 01:06, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

RE:On Template:Necromancer[edit source]

I included them since they already had the necromancer category, so if they are not necromancers then I won't add them back. Farming-icon.png Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 09:50, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Soltrix[edit source]

I noticed you changed the info on Soltrix some time ago. Although the conversation with Pikkupstic doesn't mention him to be one of his assistants, I assumed he was with the melty-brain syndrome being one of the many weird and completely random things that happened to all of Pikkupstix's known assistants (except Scalectrix, but Pikkupstix already has something new and dangerous to do for her and Bowloftrix), while none of the other druids seem to encounter such things. Certainly if the whole list of assistants we know only covers the last week, meaning there are lots of assistants more throughout the years we may never know what horrors they went through.
Even if we don't know for sure, doesn't it seem logical to add that he probably was or might have been one of Pikkupstix's unfortunate assistants? The Green Butterfly (talk) 14:04, 4 July 2020 (UTC)
