The following is a prototype Invention calculator that dynamically fetches current GE values of items, and estimates how long a player has to level their augmented equipment before they should consider siphoning instead, as preformed via modulus function.

Players should attempt to reach the highest possible item level they're able to (after level 9) before siphoning their tools. If the player cannot reach their next item level before the modulus timer expires it would be more efficient for the player to siphon the tool prior to reaching level 12 at the cost of slightly higher cost an hour, but higher experience an hour rates.

Orb of Oculus bug[edit | edit source]

It can be done with any item that applies transmogrification to players; Ring of stone, Easter ring, Bone brooch, Duellist's cap, et cetera.

  1. Put both the Orb and your transmogging item on an action bar.
  2. Use the transmog item to transform, then quickly right-click the Orb on the action bar to bring up its options (This will probably only work within NXT because of how right-click menus persist through transitions).
  3. Once you've transformed, click the "Selfie" option on the Orb; this will force you out of the transmogrification, but keep the selfie camera mode applied.
  4. "Gaze into" the orb now, and you should find the camera is now clipped into the floor directly beneath your avatar. All the same camera bounderies apply to this mode, except no near-clip borders will exist.

Here it is in animation; have fun!
