Changes
  • Remove top row ('combat stats')
  • Add tier display, beneath class/slot
  • Add type, if defined correctly (new param), next to tier
  • Add attack_range (new param), beneath style
  • Add charges support to degrades - if degrades is a number, displays 'X charges' instead of 'Yes' (yes still supported)
  • Add damage reduction; only shows for relevant slots (head/body/legs/hands/feet/off-hand [but not off-hand weapon])
    • Automatically calculated from type/class, slot, and tier
    • Values overridable with pvmReduction and pvpReduction, if needed (will also force-show the row if normally not shown for that slot)
  • Move compare link (currently requires entering javascript test mode)
  • Internal
    • Fix clean function

Malevolent cuirass detail.png

Malevolent cuirass is tier 90 Melee power armour, it can be made using 42 malevolent energy and 3 reinforcing plates at 93 Smithing. It is part of the malevolent armour set.

The malevolent cuirass lasts for 100,000 charges of combat before degrading to nothing - it cannot be repaired. Once equipped, it instantly becomes untradeable, even if it has not been used in combat.

Losing the malevolent cuirass by being killed in the Wilderness will result in a percentage of the original malevolent energy being dropped on death, equal to how degraded it was, rounded down. For example, if the cuirass had 100% of its charges remaining, 42 malevolent energy would be dropped on death, and if it had 52% of its charges remaining, 21 would be dropped. This can be used to refund most of the cost of the cuirass, although the reinforcing plates are not returned.

A cuirass can be dyed using barrows, shadow, third-age, or blood dye to create the barrows, shadow, third age, or blood variants, respectively. Dyed armour will not crumble to dust when it fully degrades; rather, it can be repaired using malevolent energy.
