Borz, Guardian of the Abyss[edit | edit source]

Borz, Guardian of the Abyss is a level 250 boss that can be found at the last room of the dungeon in floor 2 of Ironfall Caverns. When fighting this boss, it warns you that death is a very high possibility and that you should turn back now. This boss doesn't have any unique drops, but it does give lots of various materials when defeated.

The boss attacks with accurate, low dealing melee attacks in the front and attacks with inaccurate, heavy magic damage from behind. If players attack one side but not the other, it will start launching attacks of the side that was left untouched. There are three phases in this fight, each one getting progressively making the fight harder.

  • Phase 1: There is no significance about this part of the fight, and Borz uses melee and magic attacks during this phase.
  • Phase 2: Borz now begins to use Blood Tendrils and Smoke Tendrils on the respective side, dealing damage to both players and himself. During the fight, Borz may harden the melee or magic side, increasing the resistance against all attacks and reducing successful hits by 15%.
  • Phase 3: Borz will now begin to use Shadow Tendrils and Berserk/Sunshine whenever possible, increasing the damage he deals towards players by 50%. He will also begin to spike the floor, and players who get hit by the spikes will have their prayers dropped and be dealt anywhere from 500-1500 damage.

Due to the nature of the Abyssal Floor, players may encounter abyssal clones during the fight.

Three drops are given at once.
