My laptop is absolutely amazing. Fast, good graphics, and not to mention Windows 7, which is (at least when it comes to gaming) miles ahead of Ubuntu 10.04. And I can't believe it's been 24 days since I've written a thing. A bit's happened in these last few weeks. I've been ranging since, what, 62 Ranged? Well, I got 66 Ranged today, and somewhere along the way I gained a Constitution level, bringing me up to 62. I've completed the quests The Blood Pact, Myths of the White Lands, and Swept Away, which, to my surprise, had been made available (again, for the last two) to free players. I used my Goulash from Swept Away to raise a few levels, including bringing me up to 63 Strength, 37 Smithing, and 26 Runecrafting (the rest was used to gain a bit of Ranged experience). The lamp from Myths of the White Lands was used to get from 1 to 5 Dungeoneering (I mean, hey, why not. I mean, it's only 500 exp but 4 levels gained right there). I also tried ranging Ankous and Catablepons in the Stronghold of Security today, which was surprisingly easy to pull off with the help of safe spots. And that's how I made 35K today (who'd have thought that black Robe Tops would be almost 2K each?), and I got me two Skull Sceptres. I'd throw a smiley in there right about here if I weren't so opposed to informal writing. Anyway, I'm total level 1008 now and I'm 140K exp richer (according to that nice-ass experience meter in the top-right corner, anyway), and I would have gotten much more if it weren't for something else *cough* Half-Life 2 *cough*.

And so I ordered my laptop a few days ago. It should be arriving either tomorrow or on Friday. Can't wait to finally be able to play RuneScape in something other than safe mode. And then... training time!

I got 64 Ranged yesterday morning at about 2AM. I also almost have a full inventory of Flesh Crawler drops (Iron Ores and Bottoms of Sceptres). I have also found the laptop I'll be ordering this week; it dropped $50 in price so I'll be spending just $700 for a notebook with a Core i5 and an ATI Radeon HD 5650 (giving me $100 to spend on something else... I'm probably either going to get a decent pair of Sennheisers or save up for a 1080p HDMI LCD... mmm, 1080p...). Anyway, I myself am also pretty excited about the new engine update and the preening update that was announced today. Today I will, like always, be training Ranged at Flesh Crawlers. I might actually fill up the rest of my inventory with drops, in which case I can go back to the bank!

I've been camping at Flesh Crawlers again and just ranging them. About 6K experience left till 64 Ranged... I'll probably end up getting 64 later today. Also probably getting my laptop sometime next week. Yay!

It has, again, been a while since I've played. I started playing again for a while yesterday and I have been playing today. I am, unfortunately, F2P, but at least I'm training. Ranged at the moment, I am 63 at the moment and going for 70. Black Dragonhide, plain and simple, and 70 is just a nice number. Anyway, I've been playing on a Ubuntu machine, and if you know anything about Ubuntu it is that it's not good when it comes to gaming, even something as graphics-unintensive as RuneScape. I've basically been playing on the lowest detail possible to increase speed, and it's not exactly pretty, but it works. The situation is about to change in a week or two (maybe three) though, because it was my birthday a few days back, and this year I'm getting a laptop. My first one ever, actually. The main things I'm looking for are a decent-good GPU and CPU as well as 4GB of RAM, Windows 7 (64-bit, of course), and at least 320GB HDD space. Currently I've got my eyes on an Acer. Yes, I know everyone hates on Acer (on /g/, at least), but this one actually has great specs and pretty good reviews. On a more RuneScape-related topic, though, I'll be training Ranged to 70 at... probably Flesh Crawlers. I'm mainly here because they have OK drops, pretty quick respawn time, good safe spots, a lot of life points (God, I hate that word, almost as much as I hate Constitution. Seriously, what is this, the Constitutional Convention of RuneScape?) and they're weak. Also I have some 50 Right Skull Halves that I kind of want to make into Sceptres (even though I'll probably never get around to getting 150 of the other parts). Over and out.

So here I am again. I got 73 Magic and I made some more money merchanting Dragon Scimitars. Also I completed a level 2 Treasure Trail which got me some Adamant crap including an Adamant Plateskirt (t) (total worth was roughly 13K). My total cash now: 4.6M.

Long time no post! In my time as F2P-er, I managed to get 48 Mining and a bit of cash from mining Coal and Iron Ores. But now, I'm a Member again, 19 days left. I first got 60 Attack at Rock Crabs, after which I started training Magic. I have 72 magic now and I'm training to 80, again, with Ardougne Teleports. I also have about 4M in items and cash combined (I got a Black Cane, a Magic Robe Top (t), and a Guthix Robe Bottom from two different Treasure Trails). And it's rising with the profit I'll make with Ardougne Tabs. Also I found a pretty nice way of merchanting the classic way. Go to Ape Atoll (which is pretty easy if you've completed the Saving King Awowogei subquest) and buy two to three Dragon Scimitars from Daga (not more, or you won't make enough profit). Now just head to World 2 and sell them for 115K cash each, which shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes (and you'll have to wait for your trade limit to restore, too). About 42K profit right there. Just remember that the shop price goes up pretty quickly.

Yesterday, I finally got my Fighter Torso! Ha! I'm planning on getting 60 Attack by training on Monkey Guards on Ape Atoll next.

Meh... school is keeping me busy. Since I couldn't really heal effectively on wave 8+, I just decided to buy Penance Gloves since I'd always thought they'd be useful, and from now on I'll be healing on the lower waves and getting other points at higher waves. I'm already practically at 375 again for the Collector role, so this should go pretty fast (if I can find good teams, which is the biggest challenge every time).
- 01:17, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
W00t, I just, after a huge amount of time, made it onto a decent team as an Attacker and killed the Queen! I have a total of 382 Attacker points (yeah, pushing the limits for sure)... next (and last) up: Healer!
- 01:56, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
Ah... played Barbarian Assault today again, and I now have over 400 points in the Collector role. Around 150 or so in Attacker. I thought I'd have to do a Queen kill as Defender to get 375+ in the Defender role, which was a pain in the ass you don't even want to know about, by the way, but on wave 9 I ended up with just over 375, giving me the 80 points from the Queen to spend on Attacker. I've also beat the Queen twice now, and she's surprisingly fun to beat if you have good Healers on your team and a good organized team that knows what to do. Next up... 375+ points in the Attacker role. The totals at the end of the day: Attacker: 302; Collector: 470; Defender: 386; Healer: 15. I'll probably have a Fighter Torso by tomorrow.

Ah, haven't posted here in a while, life's been busy. Anyway, I got 65 Cooking and 49 Agility, and I now have about five Monkey Greegrees if I'm not mistaken. I also completed Saving King Awowogei, which got me up to 50 Agility (Crystal equipment FTW). I'm now sitting in the Barbarian Assault lobby, going for a Fighter Torso. So far I've only been an Attacker, and I actually really like Barbarian Assault.

Yesterday at about 2AM I finished getting 44 Agility. I basically followed one of the guides to all skills on the RSOF. From 37 to 43 Agility I trained at the Skullball Agility Course. My fastest time here was 2:17, which I thought was pretty impressive. After getting 43 here, I headed back to the Brimhaven Agility Arena. I can't even begin to tell you how much of a difference those 6 agility levels made! Being able to pass the spinning blades obstacle is great, and the darts obstacle has already gotten me a few Tickets that I would have lost had I not attempted it. Basically I just use the Rapid Restore prayer whenever my Agility is lowered by it. I've also calculated that once I have 100 Tickets, I'll have (or be extremely close to) 48 agility. I have over 50 already, so this shouldn't take long at all.

W00t, I'm P2P! I did Balthazar's Big Top Bonanza first, getting me a nice 10K Magic experience, leveling me up one level. Now, I had a ton of supplies for Ardougne Tabs in my bank but after checking the Grand Exchange Database I realized I'd be losing claws of money if I went with 2-Law Tabs. I figured out that Falador Tabs were a nice combination of money and experience and I ended up making about 2.2K Falador Tabs. Making Tabs is no longer a pain in the ass thanks to numerous updates. Summarizing it all, basically there's now a Make-X and a Make-All option for making Tabs, and a Pay servant from bank option. Also, if you have your servant do something, say, unnote (which funnily enough is literally called "uncert" in the options menu) 20 Soft Clay, the next time there will be an option at the top of the servant menu that says "Uncert 20 more soft clay." This way you'll use 90% less ATP and 90% less time. I just ended up reading some stuff on the internet while making these tabs, most notably Moby Dick, while listening to some Ahab (the funeral doom band). After having crafted all these Tabs, I realized they wouldn't sell immediately. At the minimum price, which is still a good profit (should average between 200 and 250K per hour), they sold over a period of about 3 hours. But hey, I can't complain, because I have 3M cash now, which is a ton of money to me. And most importantly, I have 70 Magic now! Next, I decided to do the Lumbridge Sage subquest of RFD. I first had to do Witch's House, Murder Mystery, and Nature Spirit before I could complete this. I had always been a firm believer in the fact that Nature Spirit is a pain-in-the-ass quest, but I now realize it doesn't take long at all. Anyway, it took me roughly ten minutes to complete Freeing the Lumbridge Sage and it was really fun actually. Oh, and I have Adamant Gloves now. They look ugly as hell, that green, but it's better than Mith and I'll have Rune soon anyway. Hopefully. I also started training Agility a bit, I went over to the Brimhaven Agility Arena but later found out this wasn't such a great choice because of all the 40+ traps. Either way, I have 100 Cakes in my bank now... Now gotta get that 48 Agility! Specifically, for Rune Gloves.

I haven't played on this account in forever but I'm starting again! I logged in for the first time since January 2009 (well, according to the login screen... but that's obviously not right) about a week ago. I was F2P, of course, and I decided I'd work on some F2P skills. So let me summarize what I did that week... First things first, I started fly fishing in the River Lum where I went on hiatus nine months ago, and got to almost exactly 1,000,000 experience (level 73). I sold all the fish and got a decent amount of money off of them, surprisingly. Next, I checked out all the things I missed. The first thing I realized was that the Grand Exchange limits had been relaxed a bit, so I went ahead and bought a few hundred Willows for less than 50% of what I would have paid before the Grand Exchange update. After burning them all I got about 15 Firemaking levels, bringing me up to 50. Nice round number, and right in the middle of the spectrum. The next thing I did was buy about 10K Bronze Arrows and started ranging level 21 Minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security. Here I got from 53 to 61 Ranged, and I gained a few Hitpoints levels as well, in addition to getting 44 Right Skull Halves which I have no idea what to do with. I was planning on killing enough Flesh Crawlers, Catablepons, and Ankous to get 44 of the other parts to the Skull Sceptre but honestly I can't be bothered to do that. Maybe if/when I become F2P again. Probably not, though. The next and last thing I did throughout this week was finish the Lumbridge and Draynor Achievement Diary. Before I could do this, though, I had to get 36 Smithing, so I headed over to the Dwarven Mines and mined Iron and Coal to my heart's content, and smelted them into Bars, and eventually Smithed them into various crappy items. After I got the Ring, I found the Low-alch option to be pretty helpful because of all the Steel crap I had in my bank, that alched for a few thousand GP altogether.

I trained till 61 Strength at the level 50 Giant Spiders in the Stronghold of Security. Also cast a few Claws of Guthix here. Hit a few 20's which made me happy. Then at one point I accidentally hit the power switch with my toe and I thought I was done... but when I restarted my computer and logged back in I was alive, surprisingly, with 14 Hitpoints and easily got out alive. Also I got 66 Magic today by making Ardougne Tabs again.
- 12:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Got from 34 to 35 Agility at Edgeville Dungeon Monkey Bars. I flicked Protect from Melee on and off to protect myself from Earth Warriors. Then I teleported to Varrock with a Tab. I now have all the stats to start Horror from the Deep. Got 64 Magic from making Ardougne Tabs in my house. When I was done and sold them all I had exactly 1001K. Got 65 Magic by finishing the Mage Arena. Was very easy with Protect from Magic. I ended up using about three Prayer Potions (4) after having charged my Guthix Staff. After this I cast about 200 Claws of Guthix just because it looks awesome. I also love the Cape. I spent approximately 600K doing this and got ~400K back plus a set of full Blue Mystic which I'd bought.
