- Wizard Deedit: Times by the three, and carry the nine...
- Player: Excuse me?
- Wizard Deedit: Oh sorry, I didn't see you there. How can I help?
- Player: Who are you?
- Wizard Deedit: My name is Deedit. I'm a wizard. A pretty good one at that I'd like to think, although recently I've been branching out.
- Player: Branching out? What are you doing?
- Wizard Deedit: Oh yes, I'm dabbling in a bit of invention. Have you heard of it? Jolly interesting subject.
- Wizard Deedit: So many possibilities.
- (Dialogue continues to "What are you doing?")
- Player: Goodbye.
- Player: What are you doing?
- Wizard Deedit: I'm having a little scout around. This seems like the perfect area for a bit of an experiment.
- Wizard Deedit: Give my new idea a bit of a whirl. Just have to choose the right spot.
- Wizard Deedit: Well, time waits for no man, not even a wizard.
- Player: Goodbye.
- Wizard Deedit: Section nine slots into part eleventy-two...
- (If talked to on the first day:)
- Wizard Deedit: Excuse me? Oh, it's you again.
- Player: How's the experiment going? It looks like you chose a location for it.
- Wizard Deedit: Yes, I did indeed. I believe this is the perfect spot for it all to go tickety-boo!
- (Continues below.)
- (If not talked to on the first day:)
- Player: Excuse me?

- Player: Who are you?
- Wizard Deedit: My name is Deedit. I'm a wizard. A pretty good one at that I'd like to think, although recently I've been branching out.

- Wizard Deedit: Oh yes, I'm dabbling in a bit of invention. Have you heard of it? Jolly interesting subject.
- Wizard Deedit: So many possibilities.
- Wizard Deedit: I'm doing an experiment. It's all going tickety-boo so far, and will be finished very soon.
- (Continues below.)
- Player: And what is it?
- Wizard Deedit: My little experiment. Don't you remember? - I'm dabbling.
- Player: Yes, but in what?
- Wizard Deedit: Ah, all shall become clear. In the meantime, I need to keep working.
Talking to after the daily dialogue[edit | edit source]
- Wizard Deedit: Time waits for no man, not even a wizard. Must keep working.
During the part I of the event[edit | edit source]
- (First time only:)
- Player: So, how did the experiment go?
- Wizard Deedit: Not very well, it seems my machine went a bit haywire.
- (Continues below.)
- (Only on 100% loved up level and if not asked last:)
- Why can't I help any more?
- Wizard Deedit: You're only be able to help out so much each day, before you start feeling the affects[sic] of the devotion rocks as well.[sic]
- Wizard Deedit: I believe that Alice has been able to concoct a counteragent to the affects[sic] of the dust, but it only lasts for a short time.
- Wizard Deedit: I'd use some myself but I daren't leave the crater while my machine is unstable.
- Counteragent can be won on Treasure Hunter while the rocks are still being demolished.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- (Only if not asked last:)
- What's happened?
- Wizard Deedit: Well, the machine I made, to bring about love and harmony, had built up energy, and released it as it should have.
- Wizard Deedit: But I think it might have been a bit too powerful.
- Wizard Deedit: It seems to have dislodged these giant rocks, which have fallen down to Gielinor.
- Player: What are the rocks made of?
- Wizard Deedit: They seem to be made of some kind of solidified happiness.
- Wizard Deedit: So, in that way, the machine worked.
- Wizard Deedit: The rocks appear to make people who interact with them really happy and calm, and, well, a bit loved up.
- Wizard Deedit: I've named them devotion rocks.
- Player: That's a good thing, then, right?
- Wizard Deedit: Yes, and at the same time, a resounding no.
- Wizard Deedit: It looks like they will stop people being able to go about their daily tasks.
- Wizard Deedit: They get so happy that they want to do nothing else but be happy.
- Wizard Deedit: It's localised to the crater now, thankfully, but it looks like the effect is starting to spread.
- Wizard Deedit: So we need to clear away the rocks before everyone in Gielinor stops being able to do anything.
- Player: So the rocks are the priority?
- Wizard Deedit: Partially. It seems that the little creatures you can see around came down with the rocks, and they appear to be agitated.
- Wizard Deedit: They look like they are guardians of the rocks, somehow.
- Wizard Deedit: We should make sure that they stay calm and happy until I can work out how to get them to go back home.
- Wizard Deedit: They seem to feed off the happiness from the rocks. So if you can give it to them in a more concentrated way, they should start to become pacified.
- Wizard Deedit: I also need to fix the machine, it's going to be important to undo all of the side effects of my experiment.
- Wizard Deedit: And, of course, for any of my future experiments.
- Wizard Deedit: But, I am too happy to complete all of this on my own.
- Wizard Deedit: So I need as much help as possible.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- (Only if not asked last:)
- What do you need people to do?
- Wizard Deedit: The devotion rocks need to be broken down.
- Wizard Deedit: Your mining and smithing skills can be used to do that, and you can deposit the leftover dust in the crate by the unity machine.
- Wizard Deedit: The sprites need pacifying. I think if we get them to interact with the dust that the rocks are being broken down into, we can calm them.
- Wizard Deedit: So, if you can use the dust that has been collected in the crate with your hunting or herblore skills you can help out that way.
- Wizard Deedit: Alternatively, the machine itself needs fixing.
- Wizard Deedit: You can help with Invention, by disassembling the dust and adding it to the machine, or you can focus on using some Magic fix it.[sic]
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- (Only if not asked last:)
- Are there any rewards?
- Wizard Deedit: I wish I could help out more, but as I said, the dust has affected me already.
- Wizard Deedit: However, I can give you some rewards for your help, to say thank you.
- Wizard Deedit: You can have your choice of rewards, including a bunch of flowers and a staff of devotion.
- You can unlock your rewards by choosing the claim rewards option.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- Goodbye.
- Wizard Deedit: Happy wanderings. May all your inspirations come easily.
During the part II of the event[edit | edit source]
- Wizard Deedit: The devotion rocks have been removed, which is great, but we have another problem.
- Player: What's happened now? It's not another experiment is it?
- Wizard Deedit: No, no, although I will have to look at the data I get out of this...
- Player: What did you say the problem was?
- Wizard Deedit: Ah yes, the problem. Well, the sprites, that guarded the rocks, seem to have become lost and forgotten their way home.
- Wizard Deedit: It looks like they need a bit of encouragement. That's where you come in.
- Player: What do you need me to do?
- Wizard Deedit: I've tried shooing them, but they don't seem to even see me. I have a theory though, that I believe will work.
- Wizard Deedit: If you can dress up like one of the sprites you should be able to get their attention, and then you can shoo them back home.
- Player: I don't suppose you have a costume do you?
- Wizard Deedit: Ah, if only life was so easy. I don't think it will be difficult to create one though. A whole host of fabric scraps came down with the sprites and hearts.
- Wizard Deedit: Almost like packaging around the rocks, I suppose...
- Player: You've got distracted again.
- Wizard Deedit: Oh I have, haven't I? Well, this fabric packaging, if you gather it all up, I can make a pretty snazzy costume for you.
- Wizard Deedit: It's all spread all over the world. It floated far and wide as it came down, so you should be able to find lots wherever you go.
- Wizard Deedit: Collect it up and bring it back to me and then we can shoo the little sprites back to their homes.
- Where can I get fabric scraps?
- Player: Where can I get fabric scraps?
- Wizard Deedit: They were scattered far and wide, so I would think you should find them during your everyday activities.
- Wizard Deedit: I'd try just doing your normal routine and see if any scraps shake themselves loose.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- What do you plan to do with these fabric scraps?
- Player: What do you plan to do with these fabric scraps?
- Wizard Deedit: I'll make them into a lovely costume for you, and then you can go and help shoo the little critters back to their homes.
- Player: Are you sure that will work?
- Wizard Deedit: Of course, what could possibly go wrong?
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- How long will you be here?
- Player: How long will you be here?
- Wizard Deedit: Until I know that all of the sprites have gone safely back home.
- Wizard Deedit: I feel responsible for them, you know?
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- Are you planning any more experiments?
- Player: Are you planning any more experiments?
- Wizard Deedit: Always thinking ahead, that's what I like to see.
- Wizard Deedit: I have a few ideas percolating in my head.
- Wizard Deedit: Are you volunteering to help out with my next experiment?
- Player: I'm not sure if I'll be available[sic]
- Wizard Deedit: Well, I'll keep you in mind anyways, for the next big one.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- Bye
- Wizard Deedit: Happy wanderings. May all your inspirations come easily.
- (If there are fabric scraps to hand in:)
- Wizard Deedit: How's your search for the fabric scraps going?
- (Shows the options from the first-time chat.)
- You do not have anything to hand in.
- Handing in event currency will increase your progress for this event unlocking unique rewards. This will remove currency up to the amount that is required to complete the event.
- Do you wish to continue?
- No
- Yes
- You hand in [X] fabric scraps. You need to hand in [Y] more to complete the event.

Without rewards to claim and none claimed[edit | edit source]
- Wizard Deedit: You haven't handed in enough fabric scraps for me to be able to make you any rewards.
- (If mystery boxes are obtained:)
- (If the inventory is full:)
- You do not have enough inventory space for some of the rewards. Please make some space and try again.

Without rewards to claim and some claimed[edit | edit source]

- Wizard Deedit: You've already claimed all of the rewards I have to offer.
- You have unlocked all of the rewards available for this event. You can convert any remaining currency into consumable rewards.
- (If there are fabric scraps to hand in:)
- Wizard Deedit: Thank you for helping me return the sprites back to their homes. I still have some time here to thank you for your efforts before I have to head back to my magic studies.
- (Shows the options from the part II chat.)
- Wizard Deedit: Greetings friend! It is I, Wizard Deedit!
- Player: Hey, you're that wizard from the Valentines Event right?
- Wizard Deedit: That is correct!
- Player: Still branching out?
- Wizard Deedit: Absolutely, as fascinating as invention was I now have a particular interest in summoning.
- Player: What are you doing?
- Wizard Deedit: Why, I am currently researching wolpertingers, fascinating creatures they are!
- Player: What is a wolpertinger?
- Wizard Deedit: That's the beauty of it! Is it a rabbit? Is it a wolf? Is it something else? That's what I aim to find out!
- Wizard Deedit: Now let me tell you, there are 2 different types of wolpertinger.
- Wizard Deedit: Light wolpertingers and dark wolpertingers.
- Wizard Deedit: If you zap a light wolpertinger with a light zap it will be sent safely back to the spirit plane!
- Wizard Deedit: Same as if you zap a dark wolpertinger with a dark zap it will also be sent safely back to the spirit plane!
- This would give you Summoning XP.
- Wizard Deedit: However, if you get these the wrong way round the poor wolpertingers will be slain on the spot!
- This would give you Slayer XP.
- Wizard Deedit: Would you like to help with my research?
- Select an option
- Yes!
- This activity gives Summoning and Slayer XP. Are you sure you want to continue?

- What are you up to?
- Wizard Deedit: I've got a new little experiment going.
- Wizard Deedit: I've been working with Alice and we have created some modified apples.
- Player: How are they modified?
- Wizard Deedit: I'm not quite sure yet, but they're definitely different. This is why I'm investigating them.
- Wizard Deedit: I designed a new machine, to help me mash up the apples and I'm seeing how the location of them affects the produce that goes through it.
- Wizard Deedit: It's quite fascinating, really.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- (Only at first:)
- What is this hopper for?
- Wizard Deedit: It's really quite simple. It uses a combination of invention, magic and just a touch of fire to spin round some whirly blades that chop up the apples.
- Wizard Deedit: Of course it doesn't just chop, it can pulp or mash too.
- If you choose to mash your apples you will gain Farming XP.
- If you choose to chop your apples you will gain Invention XP.
- If you choose to pulp your apples you will gain a mixture of Farming and Invention XP.
- Wizard Deedit: It also needs to be kept in tip-top condition, so if you have any protean cogs to use on it I would be grateful.
- Protean cogs give +50% Invention XP when used on the hopper.
- Wizard Deedit: Of course, this isn't the only one, I've located them all over the world to help with my experiment.
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- (Only after asking something else:)
- How does the hopper work?
- (As with the previous question.)
- (Only if not asked last:)
- What are you doing with the mashed up apples?
- Wizard Deedit: Well, I'll be testing all of the batches, of course.
- Wizard Deedit: See how the location affects them, and indeed to see what the effects of the modification are.
- Wizard Deedit: After that, well, I'll probably distill it, make it last just that bit longer.
- Player: You mean you're going to drink it all?
- Wizard Deedit: All in the name of science!
- (Returns to the previous options.)
- Goodbye.
- Wizard Deedit: Happy wanderings. May all your inspirations come easily.
