Starting[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello!
  • Commander Denulth: Welcome back friend!
  • Select an option
    • How goes your fight with the trolls?
      • Commander Denulth: We are busy preparing for an attack by night. Godric knows of a secret entrance to the stronghold. Once we destroy the stronghold Burthope will be safe! Friend, we are indebted to you!
      • Player: Good luck!
    • I thought the White Knights controlled Asgarnia?
      • Commander Denulth: You are right, citizen. The White Knights have taken advantage of the old and weak king. They control most of Asgarnia, including Falador, but they do not control Burthorpe!
      • Commander Denulth: We are the prince's elite troops! We keep Burthorpe secure!
      • Commander Denulth: The White Knights have overlooked us, until now! They are pouring money into their war against the Black Knights, so they are looking for an excuse to stop our funding and I'm afraid they may have found it!
      • Commander Denulth: If we can not destroy the troll camp on Death Plateau then the Imperial Guard will be disbanded and Burthorpe will come under control of the White Knights. We cannot let this happen.
      • Commander Denulth: Is there anything else you would like to know?
    • What is this place?
      • Same as before
    • See you about, Denulth!
      • Commander Denulth: Good speed, citizen.
Talk to Denulth again
  • Commander Denulth: I'm afraid I have bad news. We made our attack as planned, but we met unexpected resistance.
  • Player: What happened?
  • Commander Denulth: We were ambushed by trolls coming from the north. They captured Dunstan's son, Godric, who we enlisted at your request; we tried to follow but we were repelled at the foot of their stronghold.
  • Select an option
    • I'm sorry to hear that.
      • Player: I'm sorry to hear that.
    • Is there anything I can do to help?
      • Player: Is there anything I can do to help?
      • Commander Denulth: The way to the stronghold is treacherous, friend. Even if you manage to climb your way up, there will be many trolls defending the stronghold.
      • Accept quest
        • Player: I'll get Godric back!
        • Commander Denulth: Saradomin be with you, friend! I would send some of my men with you, but none of them are brave enough to follow.
      • Not right now
        • Player: I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do.

Asking yet again

  • Player: Hello!
  • Commander Denulth: Welcome back friend!
  • Commander Denulth: How are you getting on with rescuing Godric?
  • If the player has got climbing boots
    • Player: I've got some climbing boots.
    • Commander Denulth: Then hurry, friend! What are you still doing here?
  • If the player do not have climbing boots
    • Player: I haven't found a way to climb up yet.
    • Commander Denulth: Hurry, friend! Who knows what they'll do with Godric?

Dunstan[edit | edit source]

  • Dunstan: Have you managed to rescue Godric yet?
  • Player: Not yet.
  • Dunstan: Please hurry! Who knows what they will do to him? Is there anything I can do in the meantime?
    • Can you put some spikes on my Climbing[sic] boots?:
      • Dunstan: For you, no problem.
      • Dunstan: You do realise you can only use the climbing boots right now? The spiked boots can only be used in the Icelands, but no-one's been able to get there for years!
        • Yes, but I still want them.
        • Oh OK, I'll leave them thanks.:
          • Dunstan: Anything else before I get on with my work?
          • Previous options
    • Is it okay if I used your anvil?:
      • Dunstan: So you're a smith are you?
      • Player: I dabble.
      • Dunstan: A fellow smith is welcome to use my anvil!
      • Player: Thanks!
    • Can you repair my items for me?:
      • Dunstan: Of course I can, though the materials may cost you. Just hand me what you've got and I'll have a look.
    • Nothing, thanks.:
      • Dunstan: All right. Speak to you later then.

    • Player: I'm not done yet! Prepare to die! [Kill Dad]

  • Burntmeat: Hmm? What human do in troll kitchen? Burntmeat tired of cooking goats. Human look tasty.
  • Player: Oh, you don't want to eat me! I'm a tough, hardened adventurer, not tender or tasty at all!

Escaping[edit | edit source]

Talk to Godric
  • Player: How are you doing in there?
  • Godric: I'm a little weakened by my stay, but nothing serious. How soon can you get me out of here?
  • If the player do not have the key
    • Player: I haven't found the key yet.
    • Godric: One of the guards is bound to have it. Find a way to get it off them!
  • If the player have the key
    • Player: I have the key right here.
    • Godric: Excellent! Unlock this door and I'll have us out of here in no time.
Talk to Eadgar

  • Eadgar: I'm fine! Just dandy! A bit cold, I keep asking them to install a fireplace but they don't listen.
  • If the player do not have the key
    • Player: I don't have the key.
    • Eadgar: It's on the guard's belt, silly. Free me and I can cook you something good!
  • If the player have the key
    • Player: I have the key right here.
    • Eadgar: Well done, well done. Now let me out! That rock is looking at me funny.
Freeing Godric
  • Godric: Thank you my friend.
Freeing Eadgar
  • Eadgar: Thanks! I'm off back home!

A chat with Eadgar[edit | edit source]

  • PLAYER:Hi!
  • EADGAR:Welcome to Mad Eadgar's! You'll never want to leave! Would you care to sample our delicious home cooking?
  • Select an option
    • Why do you live so close to the trolls?
      • PLAYER: Why do you live so close to the trolls? Isn't it dangerous?
      • EADGAR: Well, I suppose I do keep getting captured by the trolls nd thrown in prison... But they always release me in the end, I'm far too old and skinny for their tastes. In any case, this is my home, and I'm not leaving it. And this area has the tastiest goats!
    • What do you have to offer?
      • PLAYER: What do you have to offer?
      • EADGAR: The chef's recommendation for today is mountain goat stew. I'll give some stew in exchange for logs for my fire. They're hard to come by around here.
      • Without logs
        • PLAYER: Thanks, I might come back with some logs.
    • No thanks, Eadgar.
      • PLAYER: No thanks, Eadgar.
      • EADGAR: Your loss!

Denulth[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I have freed Godric!
  • Commander Denulth: Oh, what great news! You should hurry to tell Dunstan, he will be overjoyed!

Finishing[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Has Godric returned home?
  • Dunstan: He is safe and sound, thanks to you my friend.
  • Player: I'm glad to hear it.
  • Dunstan: I have very little to offer you by the way of thanks, but perhaps you will accept these family heirlooms. They were found by my great-great-grandfather, but we still don't have any idea what they do.
