This transcript involves dialogue with 'The Guns', Jones, and the player.

Starting out[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Can we hunt Thalassus again?
  • Jones: Certainly. Let's go!

Talking to the crew[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hey Jones.
  • Jones: Yes?
  • Select an option
    • How can I catch this sea creature?
      • Player: How can I catch this sea creature?
      • The Guns: Investigate the shipwrecks closest to the creature's trail. We'll start with the one in the centre of the wrecks, since that's where the creature is most likely to be. Keep following the trail and we should eventually find the Thalassus. It's an elusive beast, though; so if you keep guessing wrong, you'll have to start from the beginning, so keep an eye on which wrecks you're examining.
    • How does this get more difficult?
      • Player: How does this get more difficult?
      • Jones: The more we hunt the Thalassus, the more treacherous areas he will go to and the wiser he will get. Each time we hunt, you'll notice the number of times you can search the wrong wreck will decrease. 'The Guns' is also getting tired, so you'll have to start looking after his rowing energy, and the sea wind will eventually kick in, which can be quite disorientating.
    • How do I search for loot?
      • Player: How do I search for loot?
      • The Guns: You can choose to loot the shipwrecks. This is only a small boat, so we can only carry three items - choose wisely. Once you've looked at the loot on one of the wrecks and turned it down, you won't be able to find it again, so you'll have to decide then and there.
    • Why am I doing this?
      • Player: Why am I doing this?
      • Jones: Well, it's worth it to get a little extra loot from the shipwrecks. Seems not everyone wants to buy my special cream. Oh and I figure it'll improve your hunting ability. When we find the creature we'll simply feed it some karambwan, and perhaps it'll save the odd fisherman.
    • Oh, nothing.
      • Player: Oh, nothing.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

Trying to leave the encounter
  • Leave and lose current progress with the hunting?
    • Yes.
    • (Dialogue ends.)
    • No.
    • (Dialogue ends.)
Getting too close to the edge of the map
  • Jones: Where are you going, Guns? Don't go too far from the wreckages or we'll lose the Thalassus.
'The Guns' runs out of energy
  • 'The Guns' rowing energy ran out, so he needed to take a rest. Now you've lost the trail and will need to begin again!

Thalassus hunted down[edit | edit source]

  • The Guns: Where is that beast?
  • Player: Got to be here somewhere.
  • Player: Look! There it is! That was a good hunting practice. Thanks, Jones!
  • Jones: No problem. Feed it some of this karamwban before it eats me again!
  • The Guns: Here goes!
  • Player: Humpf!
  • The Guns: He's eating it!
  • Jones: Hold on tight this time!
  • Player: And there it goes. This cream of yours works wonders.
Hunting Thalassus for the last time
  • Same as above
  • Player: (Transcript missing. edit)
  • Jones: Looks like it's fleeing for good!

Back in the Fishing Guild[edit | edit source]

Returning to the Fishing Guild after completing each hunt other than the last
  • You receive [x] Hunter XP for finding the creature.
  • Jones: Want to hunt it again?
  • Select an option
    • Yes, please!
      • Player: Yes, please!
    • No, thanks.
      • Player: No, thanks.
Returning to the Fishing Guild after completing the last hunt
  • You receive [x] Hunter XP for finding the creature.
  • Jones: Well, I think that's the last we'll see of the Thalassus.
  • Player: Really? You think the creature has fled for the final time?
  • Jones: Yes. If my years as a fisherman have taught me anything, it's that, eventually, sea life chooses to find a safer home. Not to worry. Keep it a secret and other fishermen will be none the wiser for a long time. I can still sell plenty more of my miracle cream.
Trying to hunt the Thalassus again
  • Player: Can we hunt the Thalassus again?
  • Jones: It doesn't seem so. The Thalassus seems to have fled to another part of the sea; doubt we'll ever see it again. Luckily, no one seems to have realised, so I can keep selling my Miracle Thalassus Protection Cream.
