Talking to a trek companion[edit | edit source]

By the noticeboard[edit | edit source]

  • (Begins with one of the following dialogues:)
    • Dean Vellio: I'm ready and looking forward to this. Are you ready?
    • Pazuzu: Hi there. I'm ready to go if you are. If you can spare any food for the trek it might help me survive should we encounter trouble. Otherwise, are we ready to go?
    • Smiddi Ryak: Hello... T-thank you for answering my advertisement. I do hope this goes smoothly. If you have any food it might help if I run into trouble... I won't be a great deal of use in a fight, I'm afraid. Otherwise, are we ready to go?
  • What would you like to say?
    • Start trek.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Trade [Dean Vellio/Pazuzu] some food.
      • (Trading interface opens.)
    • Not right now actually.
      • Player: Not right now actually.

Before choosing a path[edit | edit source]

Pazuzu[edit | edit source]

  • Pazuzu: What's up?
  • What would you like to say?
    • Where are we?
      • Player: Where are we?
      • Pazuzu: Blimey! Morytania's easy to get lost in; so many ways to navigate the Myre! The West route looks inviting...well, relatively. I'll wager East is the hardest, looking at that corpse!
      • Player: I see. Anything else?
      • Pazuzu: I'd help more if I'd been here more. Maybe later; sorry.
    • How are you doing?
      • Player: How are you doing?
      • (If Pazuzu has less than 16 pieces of food:)
        • Pazuzu: I've not got as many supplies as I'd like, I guess I'll just have to trust you.
      • (If Pazuzu has at least 16 pieces of food:)
        • Pazuzu: I've got food, so thanks for that. I just hope it's enough to see me through this.
    • Don't worry about it.
      • Player: Don't worry about it.
      • Pazuzu: Ok, I'll just follow you and hope for the best.

Dean Vellio[edit | edit source]

  • Dean Vellio: Anything I can do to help?
  • What would you like to say?
    • Where are we?
      • Player: Where are we?
      • Dean Vellio: This is the swamp. We'll probably find many places like this here; it's like a maze. the easiest route, North will be of moderate difficulty and East will be the hardest.
      • Player: I see. Anything else?
      • Dean Vellio: Not that I can think of. Maybe when I've been here a bit longer I'll able to help identify what's down these routes.
    • How are you doing?
      • (Same as above.)
    • Don't worry about it.
      • (Same as above.)

Choosing a path[edit | edit source]

  • (Easy path:)
    • [Trek companion]: This looks to be the easiest route. Are we going this way, then?
    • (Continues below.)
  • (Medium path:)
    • [Trek companion]: Should be fairly challenging for us. Is this the way you want to go?
    • (Continues below.)
  • (Hard path:)
    • [Trek companion]: This way will probably be the hardest way forward. Are you sure?
    • (Continues below.)
  • What would you like to say?
    • Yes, follow me.
      • Player: Yes, follow me.
      • Screen fade out/in. The player and the follower appear in one of the Temple Trekking events.
    • Yes, follow me and don't ask me again.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Why? Can you see anything up ahead?
      • Player: Why? Can you see anything up ahead?
      • (If the trek companion is inexperienced, continues with one of the following dialogues:)
        • [Trek companion]: Be careful. I don't know what's down there.
        • [Trek companion]: I can't see what's ahead clearly enough. Be careful! If I had more experience, I'd be of more help. Sorry...
        • [Trek companion]: I really can't see what's that way. Sorry.
        • [Trek companion]: I thought I saw something, but I really can't be sure. Maybe when I've trekked some more I'll be able to see.
        • [Trek companion]: If you want to go this way it's your choice; I'll trust your decision. When I'm more experienced, I'll be more of help.
        • [Trek companion]: It's up to you if we go that way. I can't make out what's ahead.
        • [Trek companion]: My eyes fail me. I can't make out what's that way.
        • [Trek companion]: Sorry, I can't see what's ahead. This one is up to you!
        • [Trek companion]: Sorry, I'm just not skilled enough to see what's down there.
      • [Trek companion]: So, are we heading this way?
      • What would you like to say?
        • Yes, follow me.
          • (Same as above.)
        • No, I'll pick another way.
          • (Same as below.)
    • No, I'll pick another way.
      • Player: No, I'll pick another way.
