Transcript of RuneScape Month Ahead (September 2019) - Slayer Log, Annual Survey, Bank Placeholders beta
Automatic transcription[edit | edit source]
[00:00] Much like the night before Christmas, the nights before RuneFest are relatively quiet.
[00:04] The good news is that we've got loads of big exciting updates to announce at RuneFest
[00:08] that are releasing soon after.
[00:10] And, even if you can't make it to Farnborough, we'll be streaming all the main events on Twitch.
[00:14] So stay tuned on the 4th and 5th of October for some game-changing announcements.
[00:19] Meanwhile, here's what's coming in September.
[00:30] THE MONTH AHEAD
[00:32] First up, we have the Slayer log, or Slog.
[00:35] For a long time now players have been able to keep track of the drops they receive from bosses
[00:39] and in the very near future the same will be possible for Slayer monster drops.
[00:43] This should give slayers old and new an extra reason to travel far and wide
[00:46] in search of new challenges and titles.
[00:48] Expect more information closer to release.
[00:51] In terms of things you're probably more aware of, the bank placeholder beta is going swimmingly
[00:55] and we're continuing to finetune it based on your feedback.
[00:58] Some of the latest changes include a more responsive search field,
[01:01] a new keybind and more bank space.
[01:03] We're planning to launch this towards the end of the month
[01:05] as long as we're confident that it kicks proverbial ass.
[01:08] Looking for something shiny to stick in that new bank of yours?
[01:11] Why not roll up to Balthazar's Big Raffle?
[01:14] Log in every day throughout September to get a free ticket from Balthazar in Burthorpe,
[01:18] which you can exchange for illustrious prizes
[01:20] including the latest set of Golden Barrows Armour, Linza the Disgraced.
[01:24] If you miss out on a day, don't worry.
[01:26] A bond will allow you to catch up on the days you've missed.
[01:28] RuneScape is what it is thanks to its players
[01:31] and, in that spirit, don't forget that the annual survey drops today.
[01:34] This is your opportunity to have your say about the game you love
[01:37] and you'll even get a sneak peek of some potential new content.
[01:40] Speaking of which, there have been a few changes here at Jagex HQ and we want you to know about it.
[01:45] Next week we'll release the first in the slightly delayed series of designer diaries
[01:49] where I'll be examining some big changes to the teams and what we're making for you.
[01:53] Next up, we're pleased to announce that we'll be participating
[01:56] in Special Effect's One Special Day event on October 4th.
[01:59] It's a time when companies across the industry band together
[02:02] to help break down the barriers of disability
[02:04] and we're playing our part by offering two completely free One Special Day-themed items
[02:08] for players who log in between September 30th and October 4th.
[02:12] Plus, all proceeds from Solomon's General Store throughout that period
[02:15] will be donated to One Special Day.
[02:17] You'll find out how much you've raised when we announce the grand total at RuneFest.
[02:21] Speaking of Solomon's General Store, Portable Vic is making a comeback this month
[02:25] following a successful trial run earlier in the year.
[02:27] On the Treasure Hunter side of things, Mysteria Wednesdays are back
[02:30] and will be running on every Wednesday in September.
[02:32] Twitch Prime members still have three weeks left to claim their final reward,
[02:35] a free currency pack including 200 RuneCoins, 15 keys, and 40 hearts of ice.
[02:40] Last but by no means least is RuneFest!
[02:43] There's still time to grab your ticket to the biggest and best RuneScape fan gathering ever.
[02:48] This year we're bringing back skillchips, adding new entertainment
[02:50] and of course gearing up to announce all the biggest updates coming to RuneScape and Old School.
[02:54] We can't wait to see you there!
[02:56] Until then, happy scaping!
[03:04] You're a light man.
[03:05] I've been doing exercises.
