[00:09] BEHIND THE SCENES
- 169: THE MONTH AHEAD: NOVEMBER
[00:11] Wyverns, mammoths, demons and camel monsters? Okay...
[00:16] ModMark's here with all the details on November's updates.
[00:20] During November the Raptor has been given a chance to perform a most noble task in Gielinor.
[00:26] Becoming a Slayer master!
[00:28] Anyone can try their hand at completing Raptor's tasks,
[00:32] receiving double Slayer XP and earning the potential
[00:35] to unlock some cracking new rewards.
[00:38] There's a special suit of cosmetic armour available.
[00:41] One that can upgrade its looks if you take on four brand new level 96 Slayer monsters
[00:47] that we are releasing throughout the month,
[00:49] each with a unique drop and a special combat challenge.
[00:53] All of these magnificent creations came from you via RuneLabs and the polls.
[00:58] So if you die horribly, you'll have to blame Anarchy Time, Omnis,
[01:02] Syrus Coy and Adelunth for their brutal ideas.
[01:06] Firstly there's the wyverns, horrific beasts that live in the freezing conditions of the Asgarnian ice dungeon.
[01:13] You have to keep an eye on the hostile environments to defeat these bad boys.
[01:17] There's ripper demons, based on the legend established in One Piercing Note.
[01:21] Equipped with powerful claws, these guys are highly mobile,
[01:25] leaping from the shadows and preying on the unready with devastating effect.
[01:30] Camel warriors are far from comedic, although they do look very strange indeed,
[01:35] and are capable of using both magic and physical violence.
[01:39] Finally, and without doubt my favourite of the four, are the giant mammoths.
[01:44] Huge, lumbering beasts which have a surprising turn of speed,
[01:48] capable of trampling you into the ground like a puny insect
[01:52] or smashing you about with their relentless charge.
[01:57] There's updates to the defenders in game too,
[01:59] with brand new defenders being added all the way up to level 90.
[02:03] Right now we're just releasing the melee versions, with the range and magic versions coming out later in the year.
[02:10] Similar to the way the warrior's guild worked,
[02:12] you'll need to grab the lower-tiered defenders before you can access the higher-tiered ones.
[02:17] So grab your dragon defender and get ready to cross the world,
[02:21] visiting the Barrows, Nex and the Kalphite King to gain all three of the tasty new weapons.
[02:27] In other news, we're adding divine simulacrum outfits to Treasure Hunter which can speed up your divination training
[02:33] and be combined for even greater Divination rewards.
[02:37] We're also giving you an extra chance to grab those rare items from the rare store,
[02:41] increasing rare token drops for a special weekend and reducing the token price in the store too.
[02:48] Finally, I'm very proud to announce that the closed beta
[02:51] for our brand new strategy card game "Chronicle: RuneScape Legends" will be launching on the 25th of November.
[02:58] It is a fantastic game that's well worth trying out.
[03:02] So why not pop to their website, www.RSChronicle.com,
[03:07] watch the trailer and sign up for the beta!
[03:11] It is the perfect kind of game to play while training those low intensity skills.
[03:16] And as a closed beta, we will be inviting a few thousand people at a time from those who have signed up,
[03:21] with more being added later. So do get in quick!
[03:26] Have fun! Wooters out!
[03:29] We'll be catching up with the Dukes of Scrumbridge next week as we find out more about these new high-level Slayer creatures.
