First week after the release[edit | edit source]

Logging in[edit | edit source]

  • A new bossing challenge has arrived this week in RuneScape! Enjoy the benefit of free death costs throughout the course of the week as you take on new foes.

Reclaiming items from death[edit | edit source]

  • During the current event, your items are returned for free. Death may not be so charitable in the future, so enter dangerous situations at your own risk.

Dying with ring of death[edit | edit source]

  • Your ring of death glows brightly shrouding you from death's gaze. Due to a current event, your ring does not lose any charges.

Upon leaving the cathedral towards the Nodon Front for the first time[edit | edit source]

    • A cutscene will be played shortly and you have some audio settings muted.

      • No.
        • (Continues below without sound.)
  • Kerapac: My home, my civilisation, destroyed.
  • Kerapac: My people, cursed, bound, in pain. United in our suffering.
  • Kerapac: I could not imagine a worse fate.
  • Kerapac: My imagination was lacking.
  • Kerapac: Bound once more to Her service, now I suffer alone.
  • Kerapac: I am commanded to secure the eggs.
  • Kerapac: For this I require an army.
  • Kerapac: The Nodon dragonkin. Cowards.
  • Kerapac: Rather than lift a finger they slept through the curse.
  • Kerapac: They will serve me dutifully.
  • Kerapac: The Needle. The Conduit. The very tools of my oppressor.
  • Kerapac: The source of my power. The walls of my prison.
  • Kerapac: As long as I wield them I can never be free, but she will not let me give them up.
  • Kerapac: Jas seeks only to preserve what is left of her kind. For that she would trade the universe.
  • Kerapac: Once I would have made the same trade.
  • Kerapac: The only thing that matters to me now is my freedom. Let everything else wither.

  • Voice of Jas: Bring my kin.
  • Kerapac: And if I bring them? What then?
  • Voice of Jas: Bring my kin to me.

      • Player: Can't you fly and find out?

        • Goodbye.

Talking to Nex's praesul[edit | edit source]

Talking to Cruor[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello.
  • Cruor: Well, if it isn't the so called 'World Guardian'. Does this world seem guarded to you? I've seen a world in ruin before. But this? This is something else. Tensions were high enough considering the thousand of years we've all spent at war before. The motives of your allies shift by the minute, it wouldn't take much to plunge us into war again. Peace hangs by a thread. To stand so close to those that helped imprison us makes my blood boil. But Nex assures us, if any faction were to try something... she'll rip them to shreds. Look around you, Player, and consider how much of a part you played in the events that unfold before us.
  • Player: Oh.

Talking to Fumus[edit | edit source]

  • Fumus: Move past quickly.
  • Player: Actually, I wanted to talk to you.
  • Fumus: Is this a trick? Some sort of plot to lapse my concentration so your allies can stick a knife through my heart?
  • Player: Why so on edge?
  • Fumus: Do you not see? Just over there stands K'ril, the demon filth that stole years of my life by sealing us within a prison of ice. And just up there stands Zilyana, proud and clearly still the foolish commander she always was. Blinded by her love for Saradomin.
  • Player: But there is a truce in place. Surely you're able to put aside differences to help the greater cause?
  • Fumus: Could you? Could you just put aside the fact that you were locked away for thousands of years?
  • Player: Probably, yes. It's to save the world.
  • Fumus: Oh don't fool yourself, Player. If we get through this problem, Zilyana will be first to go. By my hand I swear it.
  • Glacies: You will not lay a finger on anyone, brother. Nex gave us clear instructions.
  • Cruor: Ha, I imagine Nex wants to pluck the commander's wings off herself.
  • Umbra: That's enough. The three of you need to keep it held together for now. There is a time and place for hatred. This isn't the place, nor the time. But that day will come. I promise you.

Talking to Glacies[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello.
  • Glacies: Be quick. What is it you want.
  • Player: I just wanted to say hello!
  • Glacies: Do you feel it?
  • Player: I can't feel anything.
  • Glacies: It's cold and looms ever closer. I've not felt anything this cold before. Least not since Nex taught me how to wield the element itself. Death. Death is the only way I can describe this feeling. I ask that you leave me be for now. Let me gather myself and make sense of what I feel.

Talking to Umbra[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello.
  • Umbra: Player, an honour.
  • Player: It is?
  • Umbra: Why wouldn't it be? Despite your allegiance or intentions being somewhat... Unknown... There is good intent behind some of your actions.
  • Player: Thanks?
  • Umbra: Don't be so hasty to consider me a friend, however. It's been difficult to trust. Unlike my two brothers and, let's say, less level-headed sister, I won't fail to see your heart is in the right place. Ha.
  • Player: What is it?
  • Umbra: My teachings of shadow magic allow me to see into the very depths of the shadows themselves. If only you could see the manner of creatures that claw hopelessly at you.
  • Player: Why can't I see them?
  • Umbra: You have only glimpsed a fraction of the potential of shadow magic to think you're versed enough in the art of shadow magic to peer to those depths. Fear not, Player, they can't reach you. Yet.

Talking to others[edit | edit source]

Talking to Ariane[edit | edit source]

Talking to druid[edit | edit source]

Talking to Naressa[edit | edit source]

Talking to Thaerisk Cemphier[edit | edit source]

  • Thaerisk Cemphier: When I reformed the Crux Eqal to defend Gielinor, I didn't realise we were going to be needed quite so literally, quite so quickly. Did Guthix predict this threat?
  • Player: He definitely predicted something. He put these World Guardian powers inside me for a reason.
  • Thaerisk Cemphier: Can they stop an elder god from killing you where you stand?
  • Player: No, but we've engineered a situation where they can't do that.
  • Thaerisk Cemphier: True. Good fight!
  • Player: Good fight!
