Picking up[edit | edit source]

Without space in backpack[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I don't have room to take this...which I'm almost thankful for.

With space in backpack[edit | edit source]

  • You take the hand of glory.

Combining[edit | edit source]

First hand of glory[edit | edit source]

  • Aris: Who is this? Who is messing with things they don't understand again?
  • Player: What just happened? I just looked at this hand and then your voice was in my head?
  • Aris: I'm using the Player Contact spell. This is Player, isn't it? I should have known. This is Aris, by the way.
  • Player: What? What's a player? I'm confused?
  • Aris: Perpetually. And you are also messing around with a hand of glory! Those can be dangerous in the wrong hands...
  • Player: ...
  • Aris: You know what I meant!
  • Player: Okay, so what can I use this hand for and how can I make it safe?
  • Aris: The safest use for a hand of glory is to use a Ring of Luck on it. Anything else and the universe could explode. I mean, it could anyway.
  • Player: Add any luck ring, got it!
  • Aris: Did I say 'any'? No, I specifically said 'Ring of Luck'. You have to take baby steps with these things.
  • Player: Universe. Exploding. Gotcha.
  • Aris: If you find multiple hands of glory, then maybe you can start to slowly build up which tier of ring you use...
  • If the player does not have a Ring of Luck in the inventory:
    • Player: Well, I guess I'd better get hold of a luck ring for this hand of glory.
  • If the player has a Ring of Luck in the inventory:
    • Place luck ring on hand of glory?
      • Yes.
        • Are you sure - one or both items are tradeable?
          • Yes.
            • The hand of glory and Ring of Luck are removed from the player's inventory.
            • Player receives Hand of Glory (Ring of Luck).
          • No.
            • (Dialogue ends.)
      • No.
        • (Dialogue ends.)

Second hand of glory[edit | edit source]

  • Aris: Found another hand of glory, I see.
  • Player: I wish you'd give me some warning with this...
  • Aris: You'll live...well, for a little while longer at least. Your life line is getting shorter.
  • Player: Good to know, thanks. So, what ring should I use this time?
  • Aris: You need to take this slowly - you used a ring of luck last time, and this time you should use a Ring of Wealth - fully charged, of course.
  • Player: Right. Universe exploding, have to be careful...
  • Aris: What? No, just don't be cheap.
  • (If a fully charged Ring of Wealth is not in the inventory:)
    • Player: Well, I guess I'd better get a hold of a luck ring for this hand of glory.
  • (If a fully charged Ring of Wealth is in the inventory:)
    • Place luck ring on hand of glory?

        • Are you sure - one or both items are tradeable?
          • Yes.
            • The hand of glory and Ring of Wealth are removed from the player's inventory.
            • Player receives Hand of Glory (Ring of Wealth).
          • No.
            • (Dialogue ends.)
      • No.
        • (Dialogue ends.)

Third hand of glory[edit | edit source]

  • Player: ...
  • Player: Aris, are you there?
  • Aris: Who is this? I'm...busy!
  • Player: It's Player. I was expecting you to contact me about this hand of glory.
  • Aris: I wasn't planning to - you should have figured this out yourself by now. Do you need me to hold your hand for everything?
  • Player: Oh, right, sorry.
  • Player: It's just that you contacted me for the first two hands...
  • Aris: A Ring of Fortune. Use a Ring of Fortune. Now, can I get back to my soaps?
  • Player: Soap?
  • Aris: Not 'soap', 'soaps'. They're a bit like dramat- You know what, never mind.
  • Player: Okay. Sorry again. Bye!
  • Player: ...
  • Player: No, I think she's gone.
  • (If a Ring of Fortune is not in the inventory:)

Fourth hand of glory[edit | edit source]

  • Aris: And so I was telling him to just figure it out for themselves because I was watching my soaps and...
  • Aris: Hold on, Meg, I've got a call on the other line...
  • Aris: Hello? Who's calling? Aris speaking.
  • Player: Oh, um, sorry to interrupt. I can call back if you'd prefer? It's Player.
  • Aris: No need. How can I help, Player?
  • Player: Actually, just contacting you I figured it out.
  • Aris: You found another hand of glory, didn't you?
  • Player: I did, and of course I need to add a Luck of the Dwarves on to this one. That's right, isn't it? Sorry to have bothered you.
  • Aris: No need to apologise. It's me who should be sorry for being so curt with you last time, just because I was in the middle of something.
  • Aris: I'm glad to see you know what you're doing now, though.
  • Aris: And at least this is the last of them, given there aren't any other tiers of lucky ring to use.
  • Player: Actually, there is the Hazelme-
  • Aris: Nope! No other lucky rings. None whatsoever.
  • Player: Well, I was just saying about the Sig-
  • Aris: NO.
  • Aris: MORE.
  • Aris: RINGS.
  • Player: Gotcha. This is the last of them. Again, sorry for bothering you. Bye.
  • Aris: Bye. Best of luck!
