Talking to Closure[edit | edit source]

Before accepting the miniquest[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: Look at this mess...
  • Player: It looks about as messy as it did the last time I visited.
  • Closure: That was organised mess... this is just... mess!
  • Quest acceptance dialogue opens.
    • Not right now
      • Player: I'm a bit busy at the moment, sorry.
    • Accept quest
      • (Continues below)
  • Closure: I never thought I'd have to worry about something like this happening.
  • Player: What exactly happened?
  • Closure: Your friend Relomia, she stole a few of my biographies.
  • Player: I wouldn't call Relomia my friend...
  • Closure: Does it really matter, Player? The fact still remains, she stole them.
  • Player: What would she get out of stealing your books? They're just old stories.
  • Closure: They are NOT just stories. They are absolute FACT! Memories of the past events that I have collected and stored by hand. If she changes the text in these biographies, they could be corrupted for eternity.
  • Player: Would she be able to do that?
  • Closure: As text is written, the memories stored in the biographies adapt and modify to fit the new information. She could cause catastrophic damage to history if they are modified or damaged beyond repair.
  • Player: What can I do to help?
  • Closure: Find Relomia and get my biographies back. I must clean this place up and identify what she has taken.
  • Player: I haven't seen her since she stole my identity. How will I find her?
  • Closure: I will show you my memory of the event, hopefully you can find something that will help you there.
  • Player: What? Show me your memory?
  • Closure: Yes. My memory.
  • Screen fades to white and back in while a rewinding sound plays, and Relomia and another version of Closure appear in the scene.
  • Player: Wow... That was bright!
  • Closure: Anyway... here we are.
  • Player: Closure... we are still in your office.
  • Closure: Not exactly, we are in my memory of an event that took place in my office.
  • Player: Wow look, there's you and Relomia! Why are you both just standing still? Have you both been stunned?
  • Closure: No... The memory isn't playing yet. When seeing the memories I have stored, I have full control of them. I can choose to play or restart them if I need. It allows me to study and rewatch until I find the small detail I need.
  • Player: That's nice, can I have a go?
  • Closure: No! Let's just watch the memory.
  • Closure and Relomia instantly move; Closure behind his desk and Relomia just outside the room.
  • Closure: Reset memory. Play memory.
  • Memory of the flashback plays. Relomia walks into the room.
  • Relomia: Well... Hello, Closure.
  • Closure: Hello Relomia.
  • Closure walks forward to his desk to greet Relomia.
  • Closure: What can I do for you?
  • Relomia: Player has done a lot in the past haven't they?
  • Closure: I'd say, they've done a lot more than most.
  • Relomia: Do you think people will ever forget them?
  • Closure: I doubt it. The world guardian has too much of an impact to be forgotten.
  • Relomia: I guess we will see about that.
  • Relomia walks to the eastern bookcase.
  • Closure: What do you mean?
  • Relomia: Oh, this looks interesting.
  • Relomia reaches and takes a book from the bookcase.
  • Closure: Please put that down.
  • Relomia walks to the south-eastern bookcase, pauses, and then takes another book.
  • Relomia: Now what's this, I bet they've spent time with Player before.
  • Closure: Please put the biographies down.
  • Relomia walks to the nearby table.
  • Relomia: I don't see a sign saying I can't pick them up!
  • Closure: Well...
  • Relomia: Oh, another interesting story.
  • Relomia takes a book from the table.
  • Closure: They're more than just stories, they're biographies...
  • Relomia: Now they're my-ographies.
  • Closure: What does that even mean?
  • Relomia: Time for a nice cold drink... thanks for the story books!
  • Relomia teleports out and memory flashback stops.
  • Player: That was awesome!
  • Closure: How is Relomia stealing my biographies awesome?
  • Player: Oh yeah, that was terrible. Seeing your memory was awesome though.
  • Closure: Anyway... Do you have any idea where to find Relomia?
  • Player: Well, Relomia said she was going to get a drink. The Blue Moon Inn, where we last met, seems like a good place to start.
  • Closure: That sounds like a good idea. Thank you!
  • Screen fades to white and back in while a rewinding sound plays, and the scene returns to present.

After accepting the miniquest and before obtaining the handwritten message[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: You've got all the information you need then?
  • Player: I think so. Relomia said she was going to get a drink. The Blue Moon Inn, where we last met, seems like a good place to start.
  • Closure: Good. Now please, hurry!

Talking to the bartender in Blue Moon Inn[edit | edit source]

  • Bartender: Are yer here for the note that was left for you?
  • Select an option
    • Yes.
      • (Without space in backpack:)
        • Bartender: If yer make some space, I can hand over the note.
      • (With space in backpack:)
        • The bartender hands over a handwritten note.
    • No.

Reading the handwritten message[edit | edit source]

The following text is transcluded from Transcript:Handwritten message (Flashback).

Player,
I knew you'd come looking for me. You're very predictable.
I've decided to make things a little more BOARing for you.
Your Relomia is in another Inn.

Relomia

Talking to Closure after visiting the Blue Moon Inn but before obtaining the biographies[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: Have you had any luck finding Relomia yet?
  • Player: A little, she left me a note in the Blue Moon Inn. It sounds like shes waiting for me, I'm just not sure where.
  • Closure: Maybe there is a clue in the note?
  • Player: I'm not sure? It said she was in another inn.
  • Closure: Did it say anything else?
  • Player: Just that she is trying to make it BOARing for me.
  • Closure: BOAR? Maybe she was hinting at the name of the inn?
  • Player: Ah, maybe! The Jolly Boar Inn is north-east of Varrock. I'll check there next.

Talking to Relomia in Jolly Boar Inn[edit | edit source]

First time[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Relomia, what have you done?!
  • Relomia: I'm not Relomia, I'm Player.
  • Player: We are not playing that game again.
  • Relomia: Haha! I'm hilarious.
  • Player: Just give me the books.
  • Relomia: Hasn't Closure told you? They're not just books or stories... They are far more than that... I'm not sure why though. They look like stupid books to me.
  • Player: Relomia, just give me them already...
  • Relomia: Why are you in such a rush?
  • Player: Because I can see you subtly scribbling into the books.
  • Relomia: Let me just finish making these last few tweaks.
  • Player: Relomia, I'm warning you!
  • Relomia: Okay fine. I've already killed them anyway, now some of the details are left just a little messy.
  • Player: What! Killed who?
  • Relomia: Just some people you've helped in the past. Without them in your past, your reputation should take a nice hit.
  • Player: What is your problem, Relomia?
  • Relomia: What is my problem!? What is your problem?
  • Player: What?
  • Relomia: Why do you always get to be the hero? You never give anyone else the chance to do the right thing.
  • Player: How were you going to do the right thing? You stole books and are currently defacing them.
  • Relomia: Well... SHUT UP!
  • Player: Can you just give me the books already?
  • (Without space in backpack:)
    • Relomia: If you really want these back, you better make some space to carry them.
  • (With space in backpack:)
    • Relomia: No. I want to keep them now.
    • Player: I've had enough of this. I will take them by force if I have to. I'm warning you!
    • Relomia: Okay, fine! You can have them.
    • Relomia hands over Closure's biographies.
    • Relomia teleports away.
    • Player: I better get these back to Closure.

Afterwards[edit | edit source]

Closure's study[edit | edit source]

Talking to Merlin before Closure[edit | edit source]

  • Merlin: Ah Player, what am I doing here?
  • Player: I'm not too sure?
  • Merlin: I demand you let me leave at once!
  • Player: I don't know how to do that. I'll try to find out.

Talking to Ozan before Closure[edit | edit source]

  • Ozan: Why can't I leave this place? I have important things to be doing.
  • Player: I have no idea, I'll try and find out why.

Talking to Ava before Closure[edit | edit source]

  • Ava: Where am I? This place is creepier than where I live.
  • Player: You are in Closure's waiting room. I'm not sure why but I'll go and find out.

Talking to Closure[edit | edit source]

First time[edit | edit source]

  • (Without having destroyed the biographies:)
    • Player: Here, I've recovered your biographies.
    • You hand over Closure's biographies.
    • (Continues below)
  • (Having destroyed the biographies:)
    • Player: So...
    • Player: I recovered your biographies but I may have lost them since...
    • Closure: I know... Luckliy they were found by a kind Gielinorian who handed them back to me.
    • Player: Really? How did they know they belonged to you?
    • Closure: All my biographies start with 'If found, please return to Closure'.
    • Player: And they found you based on that?
    • Closure: They sure did.
    • Player: Okay then.
    • Closure: Anyway...
    • (Continues below)
  • Closure: Thank you for finding Relomia. I see that you were too late though.
  • Player: How do you know I'm too late?
  • Closure: Did you not see my waiting room? Shortly after you left they started appearing. I'm sure none of them should be there. Let me take a look at the damage. Hmm... ... Well, on a positive note, it's very obvious where Relomia has made changes.
  • Player: Great! Rub out her changes then.
  • Closure: I can't just 'rub out' the changes. I must perfectly restore them to prevent wider damage.
  • Player: Okay, well quickly do that then.
  • Closure: I can't just 'quickly do that'. Without more references, this will take years to restore. Merlin, Ava and Ozan will have to stay here until the memories are restored.
  • Player: This is ridiculous. They can't be stuck here.
  • Closure: I have no choice.
  • Player: There must be something I can do?
  • Closure: Hmm... perhaps. So, Relomia damaged one memory in Merlin, Ava and Ozan's pasts. In each memory, you were present. If you can go into their memories and perfectly resolve the issues then I can update their memories and then they're free to leave.
  • Player: Okay! So how exactly do I help them?
  • Closure: Go into the waiting room and speak with the person whose memory you want to fix first. I will then pull you into their memory. When in the memory, you will have an oneiric manipulator in your backpack that can be used to control their memory. Use the device to play, restart and move between key locations in the memory. After each memory loop, I will check it to see if the memory has been resolved. Once resolved, they are free to leave.
  • Player: Okay. Sounds easy enough.

Afterwards before restoring the memories[edit | edit source]

  • Select an option
    • How do I control the memories again?
      • Closure: When in the memory, you will have an oneiric manipulator in your backpack that can be used to control the memory. Use the device to play, restart and move between key locations in the memory. After each memory loop, I will check it to see if the memory has been resolved. Once resolved, they will be free to leave.
    • What am I meant to be doing?
      • Closure: You need to fix the memories Relomia corrupted. Go into the waiting room and speak with Merlin, Ava or Ozan to start.

Merlin's memory[edit | edit source]

Talking to Merlin[edit | edit source]

  • Merlin: Why can't I teleport out of here?
  • Player: Closure doesn't know if you should be alive or dead!
  • Merlin: Who? WHAT?
  • Player: It's a long story but I think I can fix it.
  • (Without manipulator or space in backpack:)
    • Closure: I can't put you into a memory unless you have space for the oneiric manipulator.
  • (With manipulator or space in backpack:)
    • Screen fades to white and back into a Camelot castle flashback, and a rewinding sound is heard.
    • (If this is the first time entering a memory with the manipulator:)
    • (If another memory has already been entered:)

  • Screen fades back to Closure's Office and the Oneiric manipulator is removed
  • Closure: That's perfect! You've done it. Merlin is free to go.

Back in Closure's study[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I managed to fix it!

  • Player: History remembers you being killed by a cannon. But it's okay, I have corrected history.
  • Merlin: You did what?
  • Player: It's a long story but everything is back to normal.

Back in Closure's study[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: That's perfect! You've done it. Ava is free to go.

Talking to Ava again[edit | edit source]

  • Player: So, it turns out it was thought that you had been killed by someone called Cow1337killr.
  • Ava: I hate that guy. I once asked him to bring me an udead rabbit and he kept bringing me dead cows...
  • Player: He really likes killing cows. Anyway, you're free to leave now.
  • Ava: Thank you, Player.

Entering a memory for the first time with the manipulator[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Closure, I'm in a memory. What am I meant to do?
  • Closure: Okay. Within all the memories, it's clear that Relomia has changed three key details. To prevent further damage, I'm allowing you to modify only the same three details. Change the outcome of the memory by modifying these. As each memory revolves around you, you'll always be one of these details.
  • Player: Me? How do I do that?
  • Closure: There is a version of you here in the memory, interacting with this version of you will allow you to make changes.
  • Player: Urrm Closure, that really doesn't look like me...
  • Closure: You know what, I have written the biographies for thousands of Gielinorians... Never have I had to deal with someone who changes their appearance and outfit so often. My technology doesn't allow me to copy the version of you now so I've settled on a much earlier version of yourself to keep things simple.
  • Player: If I'm honest, I'm not sure I've ever looked like that...
  • Closure: It will do...
  • Player: Okay, sorry!
  • Closure: To be able to control the memories, I have given you an oneiric manipulator. Interacting with this will allow you to play and restart the memories.

Interacting with the manipulator inside a memory[edit | edit source]

With the memory unplayed[edit | edit source]

With the memory already played[edit | edit source]

  • THE MEMORY HAS FINISHED, DO YOU WANT TO RESTART IT?

Restarting the manipulator inside a memory[edit | edit source]

With the memory already in its initial state[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: The memory has already been reset. It's ready to play.

With the memory played[edit | edit source]

Trying to destroy the manipulator inside a memory[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: Please don't destroy my oneiric manipulator device whilst you are in a memory.

Closure's reactions to incorrect memories[edit | edit source]

If the memory was played for the first time in the current session[edit | edit source]

  • (One of the following is shown, then continues below:)
    • Closure: I enjoyed that one!
    • Closure: Interesting change...
    • Closure: Relomia is very creative.
    • Closure: Relomia has quite the imagination.
    • Closure: Wow, okay then!
  • Closure: Reset the memory using the oneiric manipulator and then make some changes. Keep trying until you get it right.

If the memory had already been played in the current session[edit | edit source]

  • (One of the following is shown:)
    • Closure: I don't think that's right.
    • Closure: I'm not sure that's right.
    • Closure: Nope. That still seems wrong.
    • Closure: That doesn't seem to be right.

Interacting with a memory before it's been played for the first time in the current session[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: We should see the damage Relomia has caused before making any changes. Play the memory using the oneiric manipulator.

Interacting with a memory after it's been played and before it's been reset[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: We should reset the memory before making changes.

Interacting, playing, or restarting the oneiric manipulator outside of a memory[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: Ahh you took my oneiric manipulator. I'll have that back, thank you very much...
  • The manipulator is removed from the player's backpack.

Closure[edit | edit source]

  • Closure: You did it! All the memories have been perfectly restored. Thank you! I never expected something like this to happen. I think I need to make some changes to ensure that my biographies can only be modified by my own hands.
