Talk to[edit | edit source]

  • Herald: Greetings.
  • Where am I?
    • Amlodd herald
      • Amlodd herald: As you've probably DIVINED...you're in the heart of Clan Amlodd, masters of divination and summoning. I crack myself up sometimes.
    • Cadarn herald
      • Cadarn herald: Why you find yourself amongst the Clan Cadarn friend. We are the noble protectors of elf kind, protecting the secrets of elven magic and archery.
    • Crwys herald
      • Crwys herald: Around you are the members of the Clan Crwys, tending to the plants and trees within the city.
    • Hefin herald
      • Hefin herald: Breathe in the calm air of serenity. Here Clan Hefin purified themselves in honour of Seren herself.
    • Iorwerth herald
      • Iorwerth herald: Here you will find the great Clan Iorwerth, masters of melee combat and slayers of monsters.
    • Ithell herald
      • Ithell herald: You are at the heart of elven craftsmanship, amongst the Ithell Clan.
    • Meilyr herald
      • Meilyr herald: A noble explorer I see! Welcome to the Meilyr district.
    • Trahaearn herald
      • Trahaearn herald: Toiling around you are the members of Clan Trahaearn, the miners and blacksmiths of elven kind.
  • Where is the Voice of Seren in effect?
    • Herald: Seren's voice currently graces the city districts of <Clan> and <Clan>.
  • [Ask about the city]
    • Ask about the Voice of Seren.
      • Before completion of The Light Within:
        • Herald: Although she is broken into many pieces, Seren still lets us know that her Love is always with us. Each hour, she picks one or more clans to bestow her blessing upon.
      • After completion of The Light Within:
        • Herald: Each hour, Seren picks one or more clans to bestow her blessing upon.
      • Herald: While blessed, training skills in that clan's city district will result in greater experience and additional benefits depending on the skill.
    • Ask about the clans.
      • Herald:The clans are spread around the city, each focused on a pair of skills. Amlodd study the spiritual realm and focus on summoning and divination. Cadarn are noble warriors and train in magic and ranged combat. Crwys are attuned to the natural world, skilled in farming and woodcutting. Hefin are pure of body and of faith and dedicate themselves to agility and prayer. Iorwerth are born for combat, fearless in their mastery of melee combat and the art of the slayer. Ithell are the artisans of the city, peerless in their crafting and construction abilities. Meilyr are explorers...in various senses of the word...skilled with both dungeoneering and herblore. Trahaearn are the industrious wing of Prifddinas, working both ore and alloy with their mining and smithing skills.
    • Ask about the history
      • Founding the city.
        • Herald: The great city of Prifddinas was originally built many centuries ago by the original settlers, who travelled here with Seren. It was heartbreaking for our ancestors to leave their home of so many years, but worse was the idea of losing Seren. So all elves left Tarddiad and made their way through the World Gate to Gielinor. We brought the original materials from our world Tarddiad, as a reminder of the world left behind. But they had Seren beside them, and so the elves prospered. Crystal singers weaved the inert crystal seeds into the beautiful structures that you see today. Chords became its foundations and harmonies became its architecture. A great tower was built for Seren herself, so all knew where to find her, and it formed the centre of the city. It was named the Tower of Voices, in honour of the music that brought the city to life. Our city has endured - in some form - for centuries. Few places can claim as much.
      • Seren and the city.
        • Herald: She was the reason that the elven race came to Gielinor. They would rather have stayed with her, than on the world of their birth. Through her tutelage they learned how to tame this strange new world, and prospered. Then, after a few centuries the other 'gods' came. They were brutish, violent and destructive. They cut across Gielinor like a forest fire, destroying everything in their path. To save her people, Seren stood against them, though I'm sure she knew what it would cost her. Guthix awoke, disturbed from his slumber by the war raging above and he cast the gods out of the world. Because she had fought them, he demanded Seren leave with the gods. But such was her love for the elven people, Seren could not bear to leave. She shattered herself and distributed her crystalline essence across the world, knowing that the elves would seek her out and keep her close. She may be shattered and broken, but still we feel her love all around us.
      • The city's reversion.
        • Herald: There were some who didn't want to just hide away in our city, after Seren shattered herself. They were gripped with a desire to explore and to reach out to the other races on Gielinor. Led by Baxtorian, they left for pastures new. But with Clan Cadarn gone, we were left defenceless from the evil that had grown within our own city. Iorwerth, led by the former lord, attacked the city in a desperate grab for power. The remaining clans were not warriors you understand, so the Iorwerth slaughtered them in droves. To protect the culture and traditions of the houses, the great lords of the other houses fled into exile. But before they did, they did the unthinkable. To protect Prifddinas, they performed the Ritual of Reversion and the city began to unmake itself. The people watched in horror as the great city shrank in on itself, homes gone, everything that made them elves...gone. It was necessary. If they had not, who knows what the Iorwerth would have done to our beloved city?

  • Could I buy your clan's cape?
    • Herald: I'll sell you our clan's cape for one million coins.
    • Buy this clan's cape for 1,000,000 coins?
      • Yes.
        • (Transcript missing. edit)
      • No.
        • (Dialogue ends)
  • Do you have anything else I can buy?
    • Herald: There is one thing. An amulet, with Seren's symbol. This has been handed down for generations. It was said that when the clans were brought together its true nature would be revealed. We believed this would occur as the elders returned and Prifddinas grew. Alas, this was not the case. Perhaps we are missing something, or perhaps it's just a story. In any case, we're willing to sell the amulet and allow others to attempt to unlock its secrets.
    • Purchase Seren's symbol?
      • Yes.

Use Seren's symbol[edit | edit source]

  • Herald: Wait, that's Seren's symbol... but it's different... how did you do that?
  • Player: Each clan in the city had a piece, a small item which attached to Seren's symbol. I...acquired...them and attached them.
  • Herald: So we had the solution the entire time. It all seems so obvious now.
  • Herald: I wish it had been us who found this, but you have my thanks for showing me, Player.
