- PLAYER: How are you doing, Dondakan?
- DONDAKAN: Oh, just fine, just fine! This gold is certainly creating a steady flow of income for me! After the company takes some of the cut, of cause.
- PLAYER: Can you shoot me into the rock again?
- With golden helmet equipped
- DONDAKAN: Of course, just a second, let me adjust my cannon again.
- Without golden helmet)
- DONDAKAN: You need to wear that golden helmet... unless you want to crack open your skull on the rock.
- PLAYER: Are you selling those boots of yours?
- DONDAKAN: What, you mean these granite boots?
- PLAYER: Yes, I'd be happy to pay quite some money for them!
- DONDAKAN: Haha, I bet you would, I bet you would! But I no longer need the money, this rock is generating plenty! Besides, I'm rather fond of them now... best boots I ever had!
- Select an option
- Oh please...
- PLAYER: Oh please...
- DONDAKAN: No, I won't sell them.
- PLAYER: Pretty please?
- DONDAKAN: No!
- PLAYER: Oh come on!!!
- DONDAKAN: Well...
- PLAYER: Yes?
- DONDAKAN: How much gold would you be willing to pay for it? Not that I'm selling my boots, mind, I'm just curious.
- Enter amount:
- 0-999
- DONDAKAN: What, are you trying to scam old Dondakan? You want me to sell these boots for a measly amount coins? I'm not selling them anyway.
- 1000-74,999
- DONDAKAN: If I were selling my grantie boots, which I'm clearly not, I would certainly not accept a mere amount coins for them.
- 75,000+
- DONDAKAN: Haha, nice try player! Pity I'm not selling my boots, not for any price or any item. I just want to see how high you would go!
- PLAYER: Bah, thanks a lot.
- Any amount more than you have
- DONDAKAN: Hey, that's quite a bit of money. Which you don't have on you. Oh well, I wasn't selling my boots anyway.
- Never mind, I don't want them anymore.
- PLAYER: Never mind, I don't want them anymore.
- DONDAKAN: Great, because I don't want to sell them.
- PLAYER: Okay.
- DONDAKAN: Right.
- PLAYER: That's great, but I have to go now.
- DONDAKAN: Come back any time!
After Birthright of the Dwarves[edit | edit source]
- Dondakan the Dwarf: : I suppose I should be proud of how incorruptible my son is...but would it kill him to use his royal powers to give his dad's business a helping hand?
- Dondakan the Dwarf: : Oh well...I suppose this rock is still providing a steady stream of income for me. After the company takes its cut, of course.

If the consortium are in power and Veldaban is alive[edit | edit source]
- Dondakan the Dwarf: So my son got to be king, and then stepped down! It's like I've always said - the current generation lacks ambition!
- Dondakan the Dwarf: His royal powers could have made us both so rich!
- Player: Can you shoot me into the rock again?
- Player: Are you selling those boots of yours?
- Player: That's great, but I have to go.
- Dondakan the Dwarf: Come back any time.
- Dondakan the Dwarf: I wish I'd spent more time with Veldaban when he was alive, rather than being obsessed with this rock. My only son, and I ignored him because he became a Black Guard rather than a miner.
- Dondakan the Dwarf: Since you helped me mine the rock, I've had all the riches I could want...but all the gold in the world won't bring my son back.
- Player: I'm sorry for your loss.
- Dondakan the Dwarf: Thanks.
- Player: Can you shoot me into the rock again?
- Player: Are you selling those boots of yours?
- Player: That's great, but I have to go.
- Dondakan the Dwarf: Come back any time.
