Arriving at Kharid-et[edit | edit source]

  • Dr Nabanik: Hey, Player, I'm over here!

Attempting to interact with Kharid-et[edit | edit source]

  • Dr Nabanik: Hey, Player, I need to talk you before you start getting your hands dirty.
  • (If the interaction happened with the fort debris:)
    • Player: Okay, so how DO I open this? Maybe Dr Nabanik can help.

Talking to Dr Nabanik[edit | edit source]

First time[edit | edit source]

  • Dr Nabanik: Hello, old friend. Welcome to the Kharid-et Dig Site. We need your help, Player, to explore this fort to help answers some of Gielinor's oldest mysteries. Let me take you on a quick tour of what we have around here.
  • Camera pans to the archaeologist's workbench.
  • Dr Nabanik: If you find any artefacts, feel free to use the workbench to fix them up. The material storage is free for you to use as well.
  • Camera pans to the samite silk material cache.
  • Dr Nabanik: We found this area to be rich in samite silk. There's no artefacts as far as we can tell but it is rich in material.
  • Camera pans to main dig site.
  • Dr Nabanik: Artefacts do seem to be abundant out here though, you should be able to find plenty.
  • Camera pans to the fort debris.
  • Dr Nabanik: We need to break down this debris to gain access to the fort entrance. Then a key can be used to get inside. But first, you should read Tony's notes...
  • Cutscene begins.
  • [Guildmaster Tony]:? The Zarosian empire's very existence was once the greatest of archaeological mysteries for us to uncover, and we achieved that here at Senntisten. And although the empire was supposedly sprawling, it was so utterly destroyed that finding a near intact fort buried beneath the sands is cause for celebration! The monolith has a strong connection with something buried deep beneath this fort, however. Was the monolith itself Zarosian? No, surely not; it's beyond ancient. There is only one way to find out what the connection is. We must dig deep at Kharid-et and discover what lies beneath...

Afterwards[edit | edit source]

  • (If the fort debris is untouched:)
    • Dr Nabanik: You've joined us at quite the remarkable time!
    • Dr Nabanik: We are trying to gain access to the fort, but it is proving to be quite troublesome. I believe this seal is the key to breaking through, however it's going to need restoring first as it's a little damaged.
    • (Continues below)
  • (If the fort debris has been partially cleared:)
    • Dr Nabanik: I see you've made some progress excavating that fort debris! Keep going, we're almost there. After that, you should be able to use the seal to get inside.
    • (Continues below)
  • (If the fort debris has been completely cleared:)
    • Dr Nabanik: Now to get inside. You're going to need that seal.
    • (If you haven't restored a centurion's seal:)
      • Dr Nabanik: It's going to need restoring first, though, as it's a little damaged.
      • (Continues below)
    • (Continues below)
