Conversation 1[edit | edit source]

  • Brains: Excuse me, I don't want to be a bother but I have a horrendous itch right now - my hay just isn't sitting right today - and these arms don't serve me well.
  • Player: Um, sure, this isn't weird at all.
  • You reach forward slowly and begin to scratch at the itch.
  • Brains: Oooh yeah, that feels good. A bit lower.
  • You move your hand lower, continuing to scratch at the itch. At the same time, you make sure to omit this experience from your memory.
  • Brains: Oh yes, that feels much better. Let us continue on our grand adventure once more!

Conversation 2[edit | edit source]

  • Brains: I'm so glad I can accompany you on these adventures of you. Did I happen to tell you about my life before meeting you?
  • Player: No, go on.
  • Brains: There I was minding my own business and some farmer grabs me and unceremoniously throws me into the middle of a field.
  • Brains: I was left to stand there for months in the rain, in the cold, never given a single break. Can you image my horror at such an indignity?

Conversation 3[edit | edit source]

  • Player: What's it like being a scarecrow?
  • Brains: Being a free scarecrow is the most marvellous feeling in the world. However, being stuck in a field - those were my darkest days, the worst part were the birds.
  • Player: The birds? You mean the ones you're meant to scare off?
  • Brains: Oh, of course, make it sound so easy! Have you ever considered that some scarecrows might be scared of birds!
  • Player: That's possible? You were scared of birds?
  • Brains: They're horrible little creatures that just peck, peck, peck. Please let's drop this conversation, I feel queasy just at the thought of them.
