    • (If the player completed at least one of the miniquests of the 2020 Hallowe'en event:)
      • Death: As a little thank you for helping us last year, you can claim a silver version of my ceremonial scythe from the spooky shop for free!
      • Player: Thank you.
      • (Continues below.)
    • Death: We have new tasks for you this year, if you are interested.

      • Player: What annual celebration?
      • Death: Well. Almost every year around this time, something scary and spooky happens.
      • (If the player has participated in the 2018 Hallowe'en event:)
        • Death: Remember when we gathered the other riders of the apocalypse?
        • (Continues below.)
      • (If the player has participated in the 2017 Hallowe'en event:)
        • Death: Remember when Closure needed help with their ghosts?
        • (Continues below.)
      • (If the player has participated in the 2009 Hallowe'en event:)
        • Death: Remember when you went to visit the spider realm, all those years ago?
        • Player: I do remember that! So much has changed since then!
        • (Continues below.)
      • Death: As a result of all these spooky happenings. I've decided to invite everyone to these lovely manor grounds. So we can celebrate, have fun and if any problems arise there will be no shortage of adventurers like yourself to help!
      • Player: This all looks quite exciting! So what can I do?
      • Death: Well, I'm glad you're here. There is a fair few things for you to help with, and I'm sure everyone will reward you for helping them. I almost forgot! As a small side effect of the gathering of so many.... spooky folk in one place, every few hours these grounds will become 'Spookified!'. Which seems to help adventurers like yourself.
      • Every three hours we have a spooky hour. All experience gained within the Draynor Manor grounds during this hour will be increased by 2-12% (Increased by completing Death's, Pestilence's, Muncher's, Greg's & Ed's miniquests)

      • (Before claiming the spooky tokens from Luna:)

        • (Continues below.)
      • Death: As a bonus, there are other souls floating around the manor grounds. If you help them, they'll supply you with Spooky tokens & experience. Similarly after you've helped others, they'll have repeatable activities for you to do as well.

Talking to Luna[edit | edit source]

First time[edit | edit source]

  • Luna: Ah, it seems Death has finally found someone to send our way. Who are you, adventurer?
  • Player: I'm Player.
  • Luna: Pleasure to meet you. I'm Luna, and this is Greg and Ed. We're travellers from Canifis. Hopefully you'll be able to help us with this...-delicate situation.
  • Morgan: There's nothing 'delicate' about it! Draynor Village has been beset by hordes of ravenous skeletons for weeks. And our fishermen speak of an enormous monster lurking within the River Lum, attacking their boats. As if that wasn't enough, these beasts have been harassing our people!
  • Greg: She had it coming! Stepping on my poor tail...
  • Morgan: They stole Martin's beloved pet Pigzuki in the middle of the night!
  • Ed: Oh, was that yours? Dearest apologies my good friend. For what it's worth, Greg made a delicious stew out of her. I believe I still have a portion somewhere-
  • Morgan: Monsters! All you do is kill and destroy! If you come anywhere near our village again I'll have the guards shoot you on sight!
  • Screen fades out and back in. Morgan has disappeared.
  • Greg: Well, that could have gone worse.
  • Luna: Hardly!
  • Player: You seem to be having some trouble with the locals.
  • Luna: You don't say. Sorry, sorry. I shouldn't snap at you. It's not YOUR fault. It's ED'S fault for killing that pig and GREG'S fault for barking at the villagers!
  • Ed: Yeah, that's fair.
  • Luna: We're going to have to go above and beyond to resolve this.
  • Player: It sounds like the villagers have a lot to deal with at the moment.
  • Luna: Indeed. And that may be exactly the opportunity we need! Ed, Greg, think you guys can deal with the skeletons and that sea monster he mentioned?
  • Ed: Sounds like the sea beast that attacked us when we first arrived! What do you say, Greg? Fancy some monster hunting?
  • Greg: W-what? You, me, alone? Hunting monsters under the star-lit sky?
  • Ed: Exactly!
  • Greg: What's that I hear? Sounds like villagers being slaughtered by skeletons? Oh no, how awful! Guess I should go help them immediately - sorry!
  • Ed: Oh. I suppose I'll be hunting alone then...
  • Screen fades out and back in. Ed and Greg have disappeared.
  • Luna: Would you mind checking up on Ed and Greg and making sure they complete their tasks? It's not that I don't trust them, but...
  • Player: I'll give them a hand.
  • Luna: Thank you. Greg should be over by the fountain, where the skeletons have breached the manor walls. Ed has set himself up around the back of the manor, by the river.
  • Player: Got it.
  • Luna: Good luck!

Afterwards[edit | edit source]

Before talking to Greg about the skeletons[edit | edit source]

After talking to Greg about the skeletons[edit | edit source]

After aiding Ed and Greg[edit | edit source]

First time[edit | edit source]
  • Luna: Hey there Player. Any luck with Ed and Greg?
  • Player: The skeleton threat has been contained and we defeated the sea monster that has been giving the village trouble.
  • Luna: That's wonderful news! I had a feeling I could count on you. By some miracle I managed to convince Morgan to give us another chance. He should be here any moment...
  • Screen fades out and back in. Ed, Greg and Morgan have appeared.
  • Ed: Hey there Greg! Cheers for helping us bait out the beast back there.
  • Greg: O-oh! It was nothing, really. Wait... that amulet you're wearing...
  • Ed: It's the one you gave me on our first hunt. I managed to recover it from the guts of that foul monster, thanks to Player. It's still rather fragrant, but I couldn't attend this meeting without it!
  • Greg: It means that much to you?
  • Ed: Of course! It was a gift from you, after all, back when we still hunted together. I miss those days.
  • Greg: Yeah. I... miss them too. M-maybe we could go on another one, sometime?
  • Ed: Are you asking me out?
  • Greg: N-no! I mean, yes! If... If that's alright with you.
  • Ed: It's more than alright with me.
  • Morgan: ...
  • Luna: Happy as I am that the two of you are finally addressing all that unresolved romantic tension, now is not the time! We're here to ask the village for their forgiveness, remember? And to prove that there's more to us than killing and destroying.
  • Ed: Indeed! Which is why we killed the sea monster that was plaguing your village!
  • Greg: And destroyed the skeletons that were attacking your people.
  • Luna: ... Oh dear.
  • Player: Err... We also befriended a talking sword!
  • Arteria: The only thing I love more than my master is tasting the warm, scrumptious, freshly-let blood of our foes!
  • Luna: I don't think that's helping our case.
  • Morgan: Don't worry Luna. I've already seen everything I needed to.
  • Luna: You have?
  • Morgan: A lost amulet, gifted on a fateful night. Feelings long believed to be unrequited. Two star-crossed friends, who long to be more. To think that such raw, genuine human emotion lay hidden beneath those bestial forms.
  • Greg: That's a bit condescending-
  • Luna: Shhh!
  • Morgan: How could I bar you from our village after witnessing such a touching display? I'm no monster.
  • Luna: Well, I... guess everything's worked out in the end. Good job guys. Seriously.
  • Ed: You're very welcome.
  • Luna: And thank you, Player, for all your help. Please, take these spooky tokens. It's the least we can do.
  • Screen fades out and back in. Ed, Greg and Morgan have disappeared.
  • Player receives 1,000 spooky tokens.
  • (With spooky tokens in currency pouch:)
    • You find 1,000 x Spooky tokens. They are added to your currency pouch.
  • (Without spooky tokens in currency pouch:)
    • You find 1000 Spooky tokens. They are added to your inventory.
Afterwards[edit | edit source]
  • Luna: Thank you for helping us out, Player. I really appreciate it.
  • Player: You're welcome.
  • (If Loba is not purchased from Death:)
    • Luna: If you're looking for a new companion, I happen to be trying to find a new home for Loba. She's a bit of a troublemaker, even compared to the other pups. But she's kind-hearted and loyal. Ask Death about his spooky reward shop if you're interested.
    • Player: I will.
  • (If Loba is purchased from Death:)
    • (Dialogue ends.)

Ed's miniquest[edit | edit source]

Talking to Ed the first time[edit | edit source]

  • Ed: Ah, it's you again! Player, wasn't it? I'm Edd, but you can just call me Ed. Everyone does. You here to help me hunt this beast?
  • Player: I am.
  • Ed: Good. Good. I hope you know what you're getting yourself into though. This creature attacked the three of us when we first arrived. And it stole something very dear to me. Something that we're going to get back!
  • Player: Did it take your eye?
  • Ed: What? Oh, no! No. I lost my eye in a tragic embroidering accident. But anyway, on to business! First we need to lure the beast out. Unfortunately, I've already exhausted all of my standard approaches. I have tried shouting, taunting and cursing at the water, and none have yielded any results. But I do have one more idea! You see, Greg cooks the most delicious shrimp you could possibly imagine. They're irresistible! I suspect it may be what lured the beast to us in the first place. See if you can persuade him to cook some for us. He should be over by the fountain.
  • Player: I'll see what I can do.

Talking to Greg[edit | edit source]

  • (After having completed Greg's miniquest:)
  • Select an option
    • Talk about the skeleton attack.
    • Talk about Ed's request.
      • (First time:)
        • Player: Hey Greg. I have a request from Ed.
        • Greg: E-Ed? What does he want?
        • Player: We need you to cook some of your delicious shrimp so we can lure out the sea monster that's been attacking the village.
        • Greg: Oh. I suppose I can do that. They do say that the way to a wolf's heart is through his stomach... D-did I say wolf? Because I meant sea monster! That's what we're doing here. Luring out a sea monster so we can murder said monster and save the villagers. That is our ONE and ONLY goal here, OKAY?
        • Player: Sure.
        • Greg: Bring me six raw shrimp and I'll see what I can do. You can catch them in the sea near Draynor Village, by the willow trees.
        • Player: Six shrimp, coming right up.
      • (After being asked to deliver six raw shrimps:)
        • Greg: Do you have the six raw shrimp we need?
        • (If the player does not have six raw shrimps:)
          • Player: Not yet.
        • (If the player has six raw shrimps:)
          • Player: Here they are.
          • Greg: Good. Now, let's add some seasoning, a minute or two on the grill and... There we go! Perfectly cooked shrimp.
          • Player has six raw shrimps removed from them.
          • (Without space in backpack:)
            • Greg: Oh - you'll need a bit more space in your backpack, though.
            • Player: Sorry, I'll make some room.
          • (With space in backpack:)
            • Player receives sea monster bait.
            • Greg hands you a batch of delicious-smelling shrimp.
            • Greg: Send Ed my regards... Wait, scratch that. Actually, scratch everything! DON'T MENTION ME AT ALL!
      • (After receiving the sea monster bait:)
        • (With the sea monster bait:)
          • Greg: You should get the shrimp over to Ed.
        • (Without the sea monster bait:)
          • Player: I'm afraid I need more shrimp.
          • Greg: Luckily I made extra, in case Ed ate the first batch.
          • (Continues above.)

Talking to Ed after being asked to acquire sea monster bait[edit | edit source]

  • Ed: Have you acquired the bait?
  • (Without the sea monster bait:)
    • Player: Not yet.
    • Ed: Then speak with Greg. He should be over by the fountain.
  • (With the sea monster bait:)
    • Player: Yep! Here it is.
    • Ed: Perfect. Now, if I have three for myself that leaves enough for us to lure out the monster and save the village, right?
    • Player: Edd!
    • Ed: Okay, okay... Jeesh. No need to get your fur in a twist.
    • Player has sea monster bait removed from them.
    • You hand Ed the bait.
    • Ed: With this bait it won't be long until the beast comes for us. I've set up three cannons in advance, because the best solution to a problem is always to shoot it with a giant cannon!
    • Ed: This could be quite the fight. Are you ready?
    • Select an option
      • I'm ready.
        • The screen fades out and back in. The sea monster appears in the river with player at the cannons.
        • (Continues below.)
      • What do I need to do?
        • Ed: The monster will spawn waves of foul tentacles. Use the cannon directly in front of a tentacle to destroy it. And destroy them quickly! If the tentacles damage the cannons we'll need to start again.
        • Player: Got it.
        • (Continues above.)
      • Not yet.
        • Ed: Talk to me again when you're ready.

Talking to Ed after giving him the sea monster bait[edit | edit source]

Sea monster fight[edit | edit source]

  • Ed: Get the cannons ready!
  • Ed: Shoot those tentacles before they have time to attack!
  • Ed: You're halfway there, keep going.
  • Ed: You're almost there!

Upon failure[edit | edit source]

  • You didn't destroy the tentacles quickly enough. Talk to Ed to start again.

Leaving the area[edit | edit source]

  • You have left the battle area. Talk to Ed to start again.

Upon success[edit | edit source]

  • Ed: You've done it! Well done!

Talking to Ed first time after defeating the sea monster[edit | edit source]

  • Ed rummages through the innards of one of the fallen tentacles, retrieving a small amulet.
  • Ed: I feared I might never see this again... Fantastic work Player! It looks like smaller beasts are being attracted to the monster's carcass. I may need your help dealing with them.
  • (If Greg's miniquest isn't completed:)
    • Ed: But for now, you should lend Greg a hand.
    • (Continues below.)
  • (If Greg's miniquest is completed:)
    • Ed: But for now, you should give Luna the good news.
    • (Continues below.)
  • Player: Pleasure working with you.

Greg's miniquest[edit | edit source]

Talking to Greg before talking about skeleton attack[edit | edit source]

  • (After having completed Ed's miniquest:)
  • Select an option
    • Talk about the skeleton attack.
      • Greg: What are you doing here Player? Did Luna send you? She should know I can handle myself! Well, in most cases. I guess things here aren't looking great.
      • Player: What's the situation?
      • Greg: No matter how many skeletons I slay they keep rising! If I'm struggling to handle them it's no wonder the villagers are. This place reeks of vampyric magic. Must be whats[sic] raising them. Unfortunately, it's something we werewolves are used to dealing with.
      • Player: How do you normally deal with it?
      • Greg: Best way is to fight fire with fire. Use their own magic against them. There's an old vampyre weapon somewhere near the manor. I can smell it. Maybe it could be of use to us. Luna has a way of tracking vampyric magic, speak with her and see what you can find.
      • Player: Sounds like a plan.
    • Talk about Ed's request.

Talking to Greg after talking about skeleton attack but before talking to Luna[edit | edit source]

      • Player: Got it.
    • Talk about Ed's request.

Talking to Luna[edit | edit source]

Before receiving Luna's compass[edit | edit source]

  • Select an option
    • Talk about Greg's request.
      • Player: Hi Luna. Greg told me that you have a means of tracking vampyric magic.
      • Luna: The situation must be looking dire if Greg is seeking out something like that.
      • Player: He said that it is best to fight fire with fire, and that he can sense a vampyre weapon somewhere on the manor grounds.
      • Luna: Yes, I can smell it too. It's stench smothers this place. My mother gave me this compass when I was but a pup. It points to the nearest source of vampyric magic it detects. Place a droplet of blood in its centre, and it will guide you to what you seek. Please, be careful with it. It's one of the few things I have left to remember her by.
      • (Without space in backpack:)
        • Luna: You don't seem to have space for it, though.
        • Player: Sorry, I'll make some room.
      • (With space in backpack:)
        • Player receives Luna's compass.
        • Luna hands you the compass.
        • Player: Thank you. I'll take good care of it.
    • Talk about something else.

With Luna's compass[edit | edit source]

    • Talk about Greg's request.
      • Player: What should I be doing again?
      • Luna: Use the compass I gave you to find the weapon Greg senses, and bring it to him.
      • Player: Understood.
    • Talk about something else.

Having lost Luna's compass[edit | edit source]

  • Select an option
    • Talk about Greg's request.
      • Player: I lost the compass.
      • Luna: Yes, you lost the precious heirloom I entrusted to you. I am well aware. Luckily for you, one of the pups found it. If you act so carelessly again, you'll find that these teeth aren't just for show.
      • (Continues above.)
    • Talk about something else.

      • Greg: Have you spoken to Luna?
      • Player: I have, but I still need to find the weapon.
      • Greg: Then you'd better get to it.
    • Talk about Ed's request.

Finding discarded sword hilt[edit | edit source]

  • Player: This looks like the spot...
  • (Without space in backpack:)
    • Player: I don't have room in my inventory though.
  • (With space in backpack:)
    • The player digs on the floor with a spade.
    • Player receives discarded sword hilt.
    • You find a Discarded sword hilt buried in the ground.
    • (Without the blade:)
      • Player: There must be a second piece somewhere... I should keep using the compass.
    • (With the blade:)
      • Player: I should take these to Greg.

Talking to Greg with the discarded sword hilt[edit | edit source]

  • (After having completed Ed's miniquest:)
  • Select an option
    • Talk about the skeleton attack.
      • Greg: Made any progress?
      • Player: I found a piece of the weapon we're after.
      • Greg: Nice work. We can't fight with half a weapon though. We need both the hilt and the blade.
      • Player: I'll find the second piece.
    • Talk about Ed's request.

    • Talk about the skeleton attack.
      • Greg: Made any progress?
      • Player: I found the hilt and blade of a sword buried near the manor.
      • Greg: Yes, this looks like a vampyre weapon alright. And a powerful one at that. Can't say I'm eager to get my paws on one of these, but it's our best shot. If you give me the pieces I should be able to combine them. I'll make sure Luna's compass gets back to her as well.
      • Player has Luna's compass, discarded sword hilt and discarded sword blade removed from them.
      • You hand Greg the sword fragments and Luna's compass.
      • Greg: This should only take a moment...
      • Greg combines the sword fragments.
      • Greg: There we go, the sword is complete again! Still seems to be inactive though. Unfortunately we're going to need its full power to contain this threat.
      • Player: What's our next move?
      • Greg: Vampyre blades like this one are empowered by the essence of the enemies they slay. Try using the sword to kill twenty skeletons and let's see what happens.
      • This activity awards Magic XP. You currently have Magic XP enabled. Would you like to disable it?

    • Talk about the skeleton attack.
      • Greg: Not bad, Player. You're a skilled fighter.
      • Player: The sword doesn't seem to have activated though.
      • Greg: Hmmm... That's strange. The bloodletting blades of the vampyres are definitely empowered by combat.
      • Player: Skeletons don't have blood, though.
      • Greg: ... Sh-shut up! Of course I thought of that!
      • Player: Maybe we could use our own blood.
      • Greg: Oh no. No, no, no. I'm not getting my blood anywhere near that thing.
      • Player: It might be the only way to save the villagers!
      • Greg: Forget the villagers! I'd like to keep my blood un-let, thank you very much. Use your own blood if you want. It's no fur off my back.
      • Player: Well, here goes nothing.
      • You poke the tip of the blade with your finger.
      • Player: Yowch!
      • The cursed blade emits a sinister vermilion glow.
      • Greg: It's working!
      • ???: ... Hewwo master! It's such a pweasure to meet you!
      • Greg: That voice... It's like a hundred pups squealing in unison. As if treating us like dogs wasn't enough, the vampyres had to go and create this affront to my eardrums.
      • ???: Werewolves are such meanies! But they're so FLUFFY! And their flesh tastes sooooo sweet!
      • Greg: Destroy that thing! NOW!
      • ???: You can't get rid of me, silly! You NEED me.
      • Player: It's not wrong, Greg.
      • Greg: Damn it! What are you, anyway?
      • Arteria: I'm Arteria! Teehee! Arteria the Bloodletting Blade.
      • Player: Can you really help us stop these skeletons, Arteria?
      • Arteria: Of COURSE I can! You gave me your yummy, yummy blood, so you can use me to my full pwotential!
      • Greg: Sounds like you should take it for another spin then. The sooner the better... I want that thing as far away from me as possible.
      • Arteria: Your pet has been barking an awful lot, master. Perhaps we should fetch it a muzzle?
      • Greg: ...
      • Player: Let's go and kill another fifty skeletons before Greg tears you in half.
      • Arteria: Yaaay! I can't WAIT to feel the inside of a skull again! It's so warm and mushy!
      • Player: They're skeletons, Arteria. They don't- Oh, nevermind.
      • Your sword has two new abilities.
      • The Harvest ability fires a bolt of blood at the nearest enemy, that bounces up to 5 times.
      • The Annihilate ability instantly kills all active skeletons, but has a long cooldown.
      • These abilities are also bound to the 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys, respectively.
    • Talk about Ed's request.

        • Arteria: Breaking bones with you is SO FUN, master! It gets me all giddy and tingly! Hehehe.
        • Greg: I still don't like that thing, but I can't deny the results. Skeletons are still being raised, but at a slower rate. The village should be able to recover.
        • (If Ed's miniquest isn't completed:)
          • Greg: I could use your help clearing out the rest some time. In the meantime, you should go help Ed. He should be somewhere around the back of the manor, by the river.
          • (Continues below.)

        • Player: I will. Nice working with you, Greg.
        • Greg: Yeah... I guess it was nice working with you too. Don't be a stranger, okay?
        • Arteria: Don't forget me, silly!
        • Player: What do we do now? I could leave you with Greg, if you'd like.
        • Greg: No!
        • Arteria: Take me with you! I can't stay active outside the manor grounds, but I want to be there for you. ALWAYS. You gave little ol' me your blood vowuntarily, after all. We're bound by the blood pact for eternity and beyond. Yaaay!
        • You have unlocked the 'Arteria' cosmetic override. You can find it in the Wardrobe interface.
        • Player: I hope I don't come to regret this.

After receiving spooky tokens from Luna[edit | edit source]
  • Ed: Nice to see you again, Player! You ready to help me deal with these smaller abominations as well?
  • Player: What can I do to help?
  • Ed: Ever since we defeated that enormous sea monster smaller ones have been skulking their way up the shore.
  • Ed: Use a cannon and you'll fire periodically down that lane.
  • Ed: If you're on the right lane to hit a monster, I'll give you extra spooky tokens for your efforts.
  • Player: Makes sense.
