- Player: Take me to Death's House.
- The player is teleported to Death's house.
- Player: Let me see the rewards.
- Death: Mortal, time is short, so I will be brief.
- Death: Melzar the Mad has launched an attack upon my house, releasing untold ghosts under his command to form his army.
- Death: If you and your mortal companions will aid me in ridding my home of these distractions I will reward you greatly.
- Death: Here; a friend of mine has created this weapon for you to use.
- Player: What's going on here?
- Death: As I said before, Melzar the Mad has launched an attempt to invade my house with an army of ghosts.
- Death: I believe he is doing so to try and gain control of my domain.
- Death: This would allow him the power he seeks to resurrect the dead of Crandor, although those spirits have moved on long ago.
- Player: What do you want me to do?
- Death: You need to equip the proto pack and search the house for ghosts.
- Death: You can gather the ectoplasm left by the ghosts to charge your proto pack for a short time.
- Death: Combine your fire with those of other mortals to banish more troublesome spirits.
- Death: Be warned: the ghosts here can terrify even the stoutest heart and may cause you to faint or flee.
- Death: Summoning the most terrifying of them requires demonic ectoplasm, but the rewards will be great when you dismiss them.
- Death: Keep to the moonlight if you wish to regain your composure, although while stood there you will be unable to attack.
- Player: Why do you need help with these ghosts?
- Death: I am Death, the Grim Reaper, the being who severs the final threads of life from the body.
- Death: Although, for all this power, it is beyond my remit to destroy or banish ghosts.
- Death: They have already died. My grasp on them is no greater than yours.
- Death: And against foes this numerous I need the help of mortals such as yourself.
- Player: But can't Icthlarin help?
- Death: Not in this case. Melzar has chosen well, for many of these spirits have never been to the underworld and thus lie outside Icthlarin's power too.
- Player: What can you give me?
- Death: Such a fascination with material gain. Yes, mortal, I can reward you.
- Death: For each ghost you dismiss I will keep a tally. I will allow you to exchange these points for rewards.
- Death: These rewards include a suit of armour that will give you extra damage and experience when fighting ghosts.
- Death: I will also bestow upon you the ability to burn bones on a bonfire. This cremation ability will offer the bones to the gods to help gain favour from them.
- Death: And some of the ghosts will drop an ectoplasmator, if you do not possess one already.
- Death: Sadly this item will not work with the proto pack so you will not gain prayer experience for defeating these ghosts as you would normally.
- Death: In addition chests will spawn in the house frequently. You can claim rewards from these, as well as items that will calm you without having to seek out moonlight.
- Player: I think I'd best go.
