|Has a 5% chance per rank to carry out higher quality work, awarding an extra 25% XP. While smithing, has a 2% chance per rank to double your progress.
This perk has an increased chance to activate on level 20 items.

While firemaking, it has a 5% chance per rank per action to increase the experience gained from that action by 25%. It does not give extra experience for logs burned with Superheat Form. This extra XP is given as base XP, giving a corresponding increase in item XP and allowing it to be doubled with bonus XP.
While smithing, it has a 2% chance per rank to grant double progress for that swing, increasing the overall experience per hour.
Smithing at a furnace while in Clan Citadels will cause tinker to act like the firemaking version of the perk, granting bonus xp.
When the perk triggers, it prompts the message:
