The Raine Group is a merchant bank that focusses on technology, media and telecommunications. It was founded by Joseph Ravitch and Jeffrey Sine, in partnership with William Morris Endeavor, in 2009. The firm has more than 75 employees in five offices around the world.
In June 2016, The Raine Group sold their stake in Jagex to investors from Shandong Hongda as part of a buyout of all parties invested in Jagex.
Raine is a "top player in the world of media and telecommunication deals", having invested in Vice Media, overseen Sprint Corporation's takeover by SoftBank, and sold stakes in City Football Group to investors for $3 billion.
